Very good buy
I was worried some bad piece will show up going by so many reviews on other binoculars in the same range. But I am happy we received a good one. Besides the great quality of images for a beginner, the grip is good and appears to have made of high quality materials.

Good clarity
Clarity is great. But not suitable for my eyes. Eye strain

Amazing quality for all purposes
This is my first ever pair of binoculars, and I couldn't be more satisfied. I got the 10x50, and it's the perfect size for hand-held usage. Have been using it for astronomy, bird-watching & plane-spotting, and it does the job very well. Mostly, I have been using it for stargazing, and the view quality is amazing even at night.I would suggest to buy the 10x50 variant, instead of 12x50 or 16x50, because for these you would need some kind of tripod to manage the shakiness due to large magnification & heavier weight. Also, the lens size is same on all these variants, and it's better to opt for the one having least magnification, because more magnification on same lens size decreases the amount of light entering the eyepiece. So, if you intend to use these for night usage, get 10x50.

Amazing
Amazing clarity. Lenses are multi coated. Only thing is it has rubberized body which will attract lot of dust during safaris. Other than that no cons.Check pentax website price may be lower there.

Brilliant quality
Super good binoculars for a Safari. The vision is unparalleled. We had an Olympus Binoculars with the same specifications and the Petax were much much better for the quality of vision. Went for the 8x40 as the higher power one's were more bulky.

Popular reviews on various sites
Although this model and size has received mostly 5 stars, it's disappointedly heavy (I'm almost 70) at about 1.6 lbs. So, now, I recommend binoculars around 1.4 lbs./ 22.4 oz. or less. For the heavy ones (astronomy) get a tripod and maybe a harness for ones like this Pentax. When shopping, read the 1-3 star reviews as well and notice the totals. I never understand how 2 people can give opposite reviews on the very same item. Amazing and puzzling. Many models are outdated to me. But some remain solid performers for years. I avoid most Chinese brands - too many goofy names, not their workers who assemble U.S. brands. We all have different preferences. Search thoroughly and patiently, keeping weight, material, performance, cost and reviews (me, 4.6 or better) from many sites when narrowing your choices.

Great & Powerful
I disliked the strap, could not fit, tried for over an hour.On the plus side the Binoculars feel good in the hand, focus up nice with a bright contrasty image with great depth & detail.I have this past two months tried a few different brands and these were not the most expensive but they are the best in this range..(£90 - £250)I own some celestrons c/w a tripod clamp which fits these too! Also comes with a nice caseAn amazing product from the masters in shopping "Amazon .co.uk!!
