Schaum's Outline of Mathematical Handbook of Formulas and Tables, 4th Edition: 2,400 Formulas + Tables (Schaum's Outlines)

In the early 1960's I was in high school and purchased a mathematics handbook called THE CHEMICAL RUBBER PUBLISHING COMPANY (CRC) STANDARD MATHEMATICAL TABLES (12th Ed). I've been using it all these years, mainly for calculus integrals. Its beginning to show its age so I purchased the above Mathematics Handbook by Schaum.I am REALLY HAPPY with this new book. Regarding indefinite calculus integrals, the Schaum book has a total of 620 indefinite integrals compared to my CRC Handbook with 388. Regarding definite integrals, the Schaum has 120 compared with 75 in the CRC book. This alone makes the book worth having.The Schaum book technically is divided into 2 parts: Mathematical Formulas and Mathematical Tables. The formulas part has sections of just about everything you can imagine: Physical constants, algebraic formulas, geometry formulas, trigonometric formulas,calculus formulas, differential equations and vectors, series formulas, special functions, Laplace, Fourier, Elliptic, inequalities, probability, statistics and other numeric methods. The tables sections include logarithmic, trigonometric, exponential, factorial, Bessel functions, Legendre polynomials, elliptic integrals, financial tables, and probability/statistics tables...In short, this book is well worth the money if you need a quick and handy reference. I'm very well satisfied!

Very exhaustive list of formulas and tables and useful equations. It is an excellent reference for many important mathematical and physical relations. I depend on it for reviewing my work and making sure i am using the correct formulas because i tend to forget many minor but critical details sometimes.Sure all this information can be found online and scattered in many textbooks, but not well presented like this, in one place, a very convenient reference book to have. Makes my life so much easier for integrals and DE's I really don't feel like solving. Plus, I get to use it on exams in most of my higher level physics classes!Really nice for transforms between coordinate systems. It gets annoying trying to remember where the thetas and phis go in spherical equations considering every time you enter a new class they switch something about the notation. I swear one day it'll be standardized...

The best part of this book is the completeness of it. It seems to cover many aspects of math. There are tables, formulas and some techniques that are very handy - especially for the knowledge that may have been forgoten and a review is needed.I highly recommened this book for anyone who is involved in multiple aspects of math.

I have used my schools copy of this for a little while, and it is fantastic and thorough. I have yet to find a math/physics problem that cannot be worked with any of the formulas in this resource. I would give 5 stars, but I'm docking one for McGraw Hills quality control of printed texts, not content problems. Hopefully the replacement will be squared away.

When I placed my order I really hope it would be delivered quickly since I really need it for my assignment and Midtest and yes, I got it two days later. What a happy feeling. The condition is perfect, new book! I have no regret at all for the price, worth it. :)

I grew up on Schaum's outlines in "physical" book form in the 70's, at one point amassing a collection of some 27 Schaum's outlines.Schaums in digital format, to my surprise, continues the rich tradition of providing "best in class", comprehensive technical coverage of the subject matter.Schaum's Rocks !!!

I hope that the paper that book made form will be more bight quality

Based on my word with formulas, this repository listing provides a means to ensure completeness and correctness. A very impressive work related to some very complex topics.

Book is good. Has what a Bachelor's Level student might need. But is sadly lacking a lot from MTech level standards.Schaum's series books are always good. This one just needs a serious upgrade.

Questo manuale, nella sua edizione originale (1968), mi ha accompagnato dal primo anno di università fino alla vita professionale. La nuova edizione è stata ammodernata per tener conto della evoluzione dei sistemi di calcolo (oggi una semplice calcolatrice da 10 euro fornisce valori delle funzioni trigonometriche o dei logaritmi per cui non c'è più bisogno delle corrispondenti tavole). La nuova edizione contiene sezioni riviste per cui vale le pena di acquistarlo, visto il modico prezzo.

No hay mucho que decir sobre este clasico, ahora actualizado. Bastante completo y util para estudiantes y profesionales de ramas tecnicas.
