Perfect tool to install or remove a Shimano Hollowtech II bottom bracket. Locked into bottom bracket detent securely and allowed tightening of both side of the bottom bracket to the 50 Nm torque spec without issue or slippage.

I can afford nicer tools these days, but don’t always think they’re justified. Removing and installing Hollowtech BB’s is not a frequent task for me, but at the end of the day this one really wasn’t much more than the off-brand ones and Park Tool is always reliably high quality.Works the way it’s supposed to, with nice machined knurling for hand-tightening, and a 3/8” socket base for your socket or torque wrench. Fits this style BB exactly so there’s no worries about slipping and damaging something. Do make sure you’ve confirmed the part number for this tool - there are at least two sizes of Hollowtech BB out there, each has a different tool number.

I stopped being a cheapskate with tools. I love the quality and look of this BB tool. Helped me get the job done right! Pay a little extra now so you don’t cry later.

Park tool is the Snap On of bike tools. Expensive but worth it!
