Bulova Clocks C3542 Cranbrook Wall Mount Analog Wooden Chiming Clock, Brown

This Bulova C3542 Cranbrook clock is beautiful and makes a great addition to your home. It is easy to set up and keeps very accurate time thanks to it's quartz movement. I anticipate thst this clock will ladt a long time. After reading the instructions, it was easy to set the proper time. The nighttime chime mute function was already set at the factory so I didn't need to set it. The mute function is from 11 pm through 5:45 am. I don't know anyone that could sleep with the chimes sounding during the night! I cannot emphasize enough to please read the instructions as this is a fine quality clock and you want to get the most enjoyment out of it. One final note: the shipping box was quite a bit larger than the Bulova box thst the clock came in. The outer shipping box had no packing paper or blister packs to keep the inner Bulova box from sliding all around the outer shipping box. Not good at all! Fortunately, the Bulova box was well designed to keep the clock protected from most damage. However, I'm sure the inner box suffered some bumps and jars that could have affected the quartz mechanism. I couldn't believe the shippers didn't put packing materials to keep the inner box from sliding around and getting bumped and jarred quite a bit!

I've only had this one day, but what a gem! I really, really wanted a grandfather wall clock with a front door, but this one is light in weight, and it's easy to take it down and open the back for any adjusting. And once the time, chime & volume are adjusted (again, I've only had it 1 day), it will only require battery changes occasionally. The instructions were clearly written to set it up, the price is right, and it's solidly built with the Bulova name. One minor negative is I thought the description said made in Switzerland & Japan, when it's clearly labeled made in China. But I could be mistaken, and no matter where, my hope is to have this to pass down to my children.

My first notion as I opened the box is that this was very carefully packed. I would caution buyers as per the instruction, read them ALL first before doing anything at all or you can create a headache for yourself. The instruction are easy to follow, but very important to read first before you do ANYthing. The pendulum is taped to the inside of the box. The clock keeps time well, the chimes sound good, not cheap, as other clocks I've tried, and this clock is solid wood. You can set it to chime 24/7 or to not chime between 10pm-7am, but for this it is very important to read the instructions as to keep the clock in sync with the chiming and the am/pm. I have mine set to only chime Big Ben on the hour with it ending the number of chimes for the hour. I really love this clock so far. As compared to others I've tried and seen, I'm very impressed with this, it is worth the purchase, and the price point is just right.

My old chime clock finally was irreparable. I was going to invest in a new Howard Miller time clock but then thought I would try out some thing electronic. After reviewing several different clocks I settled on this one because of some of the features including a choice in time, volume control, a shut off for nights (if you want to) and the size was small enough for my spot. The pros: I love the smaller size, the chime is fairly delicate at the volume that I use so it is not overpowering near the TV, the clock face is easy to visualize in my darker room, the pendulum swings and has a light tick, the wood finish is deep and rich looking. The cons: Setting the clock for the proper time takes some patience and a good read of the instructions but once set I am anticipating I won’t have any more issues until the batteries die, all of the controls are on the back of the clock instead of on the side as some clocks have necessitating taking it off of the wall and removing the backboard to be able to make adjustments, the hour strike (not the melody) is not as deep atone as I would like but I’m getting used to it after a week. I will say that I was not very happy with the way that Amazon packed this. It’s in its own box which they put into a much larger box with at least 10 inches of fall space on either side of it and no bubble wrap or bubble insulation in the box. As I was opening it I was very concerned that I might find a disaster but fortunately Bulova had adequate wrapping on their box that it took the slings and drops that UPS tends to do. Extra stars for Bulova on that one! I would highly recommend this clock. At a price point just a bare minimum above $100 it certainly is what I consider an excellent choice!

I wanted a clock that chimed. Settled on a wall clock with a pendulum. Lot's of low end stuff out here, and I didn't want to shell out $300 on a Howard Miller. I agonized for a few weeks over which one I'd get, and settled on Bulova. A lot of the other clocks at this pricepoint look.... garish? Either too light, or the clock face looks weird or off-putting, the covering the pendulum has some kind of foil design over it... etc. Then I saw this one. Reviews seemed good, so I bought it. Very easy to set up even if you are an imbecile like myself and just threw a AA battery in it before work, only to realize that it takes 2 C batteries in addition. Having read some of the reviews of other clocks, it seems that they can be a bit finnicky. This one was easy, instructions were fairly clear. The clock itself is gorgeous. Sound is good for $130 clock.

Beautiful clock, the functions allow a choice of several tones as well as options for how often it chimes. It’s keeping accurate time, I love it.

had this clock for two weeks love it. i was skeptical when i ordered it, but after trying the chime settings such as 4x4 westminister, hourly westminister bing bong and ave maria it worked great. The chime can be set to come on at 6.00am and off at 10.00pm or 24 hr chime and if you want it off then it can be turned off. i turned it off for about a week and then back on and it chimed correctly on the hour. it is light weight and because it has to be taken of the wall to access the chime control and other settings its not cumbersome to do that. it would have been nicer to have a door that could be opened on the front to access the controls for on and off, as well as settings for chime melody. the volume control can be set low enough so that when it comes on at 6.00 am it will not disturb you if you're sleeping depending on where it is in your home the low volume setting has a very light chime sound. so far so good and i hope it will work for years to come, it isn't like a traditional mechanical clock which i would like to have, but it is very close and stylish to the real thing. in closing i will say the name Bulova says it all very high quality stylish clock.

A very nice looking clock that looks and sounds just great. Works very well and hasn't lost any time at all over the last 2 months. So easy to setup and installation was great. A Quality clock indeed. Best of all, my wife and I just love it. Great buy and price.
