eForCity Leather Case for Barnes and Noble Nook Color, Purple

I would call this a "good enough" product.1.) I saw other reviews regarding the leather. NOTE - it is not leather, if you look at the product description it tells you what it is really made of (I cannot think of the word off the top of my head).2.) Purple - it is a deep purple. I, personally, LOVE the color.3.) NOOKColor = tight snug. The bottom, where you slip your NOOK into is not 1 long piece that makes sure your NOOK won't fall out. It has 2 pieces, not even an inch wide, that keep your NOOK from falling out of the bottom. It is snug in the sense that you cannot put anything thicker in it. My NOOKColor fits snuggly (is that a word?), to the point that I had to use extra force to push it all the way in.4.) Too short - I pushed my NOOKColor in as far as I could without the fear of ripping the bottom holders and the top of my NOOKColor sticks out. It is not alot, I cannot even give a measurement to it, but if you are the type of person that notices those things, you will see it.5.) The top elastic bands are so tight, I thought I was not going to be able to use them (then I would return this product), but after wrestling with them, I finally got them on. They are light grey in color. Remember, purple holder, black NOOKColor that juts out a bit with light grey elastic bands...if you did not care about this product being a tad to small, you might care about this. It clashes in the color scheme. We are working with dark, deep colors and they throw in light grey elastic? Come on!6.) It has a magnetic closure that you sometimes have to force. When closing up, you definately have to pay attention to feel the magnets attach.7.) The material looks and feels durable, great stitching. I do not have worry in that area (but I only got this this morning).I bought this because I needed something to tide me over until I could afford a fancy, designer case from Barnes & Noble. It is inexpensive and it will do the job I bought it for. It is good enough, for me, to protect my NOOKColor for a few weeks. Those who are looking for something more longterm...remember, you get what you pay for. If you are the type of person who is really nit picky, well, above is the list you will encounter. I, however, am not when it comes to this product. That is why I am giving it a neutral rating.(If something negative happens in the future, as I use it more, I will update you)Hope this helps!

I absolutely LOVE this cover!!! It is a rich, muted, eggplant color and not flashy at all. Seems to be very well made, sturdy yet very soft material with padding. The magnetic closure works perfectly, stays closed yet is easy to open. The large interior slip pocket would hold something well. It does perfectly, snugly w/o being too tight hold my NC with all the buttons available. I'm amazed to get such a high quality product for such an extremely low price. Other than my very good bid win for a 'like new' NC, this is my favorite purchase for it. I did get another cover after I got this one that has a keyboard & a stand because that sounded like a good idea to have those options , but I did not cancel this one b/c I had read so many good reviews. I am so very happy that I did keep this one, too!!! I have not even used the other one yet, but still like having the option when I do want it of having a keyboard. (Altho, I'm having to wait on trying it b/c the usb is a standard 2.0 & my NC is a micro, waiting on getting the converter for that. Doesn't look nearly as nice as this one & the stand does not fasten back either, just flops.) THIS one is the one I expect to mainly use. It will fit my purse much better and is just a much nicer one all the way around IMHO. Feels really good in my hands when I'm using my Nook. I have even considered getting a 2nd one just for if/when this one wears out or something accidentally happens to it. The ONLY issue I had with it was that it did not come as quickly as I had hoped. It took almost 2 wks, definitely 10 days or more. I still gave it 5 stars just b/c I am so pleased with the product.

I really like this product. It is a nice, solid case and it helps to protect my nook very well. The leather is very smooth rather than ridged. I prefer the smoother, softer leather so this was perfect. The clasp works nicely and the speaker openings on the back really help to amiplify the volume slightly. However, I did notice that if you bend back the front cover when reading, it starts to kind of split the leather on the bottom corner of the spine, and gray starts to show through. Also, there have been reviews claiming that this case is just slightly too small. That is correct. However, it is nothing of significance. It's a great cover for the price. I ended up ordering another nook color cover later because I didn't like how it was getting damaged with time, but I think that anyone could be happy with the way this nook color cover is. It's great for a temporary cover.Also, just as an aside... I live in Alaska and I still got this in the mail before the end date for shipping. I have to say that was definitely a plus.

I have had the cover for several months now. I ordered it because it appeared to have a more secure base for the Nook than many of the other covers I saw. It is more secure with the base being made of a sturdier construction (not just elastic); it is of leather and forms a wide front pocket, with wide straps under the pocket for the Nook to fit into. Several friends have only the elastic bottom strap and the elastic has not lasted. They were very excited to see my new cover. The cover is a snug fit and does need a little manipulation to get the nook installed. The Nook and the cover fit is exact but when it is together every thing lines up perfect. I love that it closes with a top cover that stays shut and protects the screen. I looked for several weeks before I purchased a cover, but I love this one. To me it is a much better design than many others and is much less expensive. I have found for me the quality is excellent. The only con is that the color choice is limited, however the color they have is very attractive.
