Our coach class flight to Europe was about eleven hours. International flights do provide pillows and blankets. I am short wasted so propping it on my lap worked. My husband used the tray table. I like the versatility. You can turn the pillow in different directions. On the return flight we had an exit row so We even used it for a foot rest. It was easy to deflate. Blowing air to inflate was not too awful. I did not have anything else to do and it took less than 5 mins to inflate. The outside of the ok, not rough and the hole where you rest your head was above average comfort. I used part of my shaw to line the hole for maximum comfort. It is a plastic product and VOC was tolerable. When it arrived I tossed it in the dryer on air setting with a dryer sheet then let it sit out for a couple of days. This seemed to offset the processed smell a bit. I’d definitely take it on my next long flight again. It came in handy.

I LOVE this product!!! I had neck surgery 5 years ago fusing my C5, C6, and C7 together, so long flights are extra uncomfortable for me. I don't have as much range of motion up and down, and if I start to doze off and my head leans forward it can be really painful. But on long overnight flights it is impossible not to fall forward when I start to fall asleep. This works out perfectly for me. I'm about 5'9 and can either put it on my lap and sleep forward on it or put it on the tray table.This product is super compact when deflated, so it is easy to travel with. And it only takes about 15 seconds to blow up.I got a few awkward looks, but I slept comfortably for 6 hours and didn't wake up with crick in my neck, so I'll take all the awkward looks I can get!I didn't have any issues with smell like I saw in some other reviews, and I am really sensitive to smells. But when I received it, I blew it up and let it sit out for a few days, so that may have helped get rid of any smell it had when it arrived.

Finally slept well on an overseas trip. Took me a while to figure out I can't sleep sitting up leaning my head to the side with one of those neck pillows cause I'm a stomach sleeper. Leaning forward using this pillow Is the way. I slept so good I missed breakfast! Didn't care!It's soft and I like that you can slip your arms through it. I inflated it about 2/3 full and put a little travel pillow on top. Really comfortable. I love it. I've never been able to sleep on a trans-atlantic flight for more than 20 min at a time. This time I got a solid 4 hours. Great purchase!

So far so good. I’m traveling as i type and I love that this pillow can be used at a variety of angles for maximum comfort. You can inflate to your personal level of comfort and I didn’t have a problem with the plastic smell. I did let it air out a few days before my travel date as suggested in the reviews. I’ll update this review after a few more flights if I begin to notice any air leakage. I’m glad I did not purchase a more expensive version of this pillow. The airline attendant was intrigued by it and even took a photo of the brand name so she could purchase one herself.

This pillow was worth every penny!! I had a couple of red eye flights and middle of the night lay overs and this pillow worked fantastically. I had the middle seat on all my flights and was able to sleep comfortably during the flights and not fall over on my neighbors. 😉Bonus- it caught and hid my drooling, and everyone around was none the wiser 😂

I love the idea behind this item. I also feel like I should have tried to nap with it to train my body to sleep with it on a plane. Air out the pillow before use so the new Plastic smell dissapates. The pillow had a nice soft coating on it as well. A good value.

Yesterday I had surgery for a macular hole and a vitrectomy. The most important part of recovery is remaining face down for days to weeks as the gas bubble they place in your eye during surgery positions itself correctly in order to close the hole. I have had serious neck muscle issues since a 3 level cervical fusion 4 years ago and did not think I would be able to maintain a face down position after this eye surgery without causing myself great pain. I saw this airplane pillow and thought it might help me remain comfortable and face down. It was just a little short so I placed my neck travel pillow on top (which also made it more comfortable) and this has worked so well and is so comfortable that I even use it to sleep sitting up, face down at night! I am so happy to have found this as I was totally stressing out about not being able to maintain face down after my eye surgery and compromising my future vision. Love this pillow and I am grateful for it, too!

I've traveled on a few international flights with this now and I love it! It is really big when you blow it up so it's kind of awkward in a small coach seat but whatever it's worth it. I can never sleep with just a neck pillow I like leaning forward so this thing is great. It smells kind of platic-y so maybe bring an essential oil to put under your nose before sleeping in it. If you have a window seat you can also prop it right under your head and lean against the wall. Or use it on the tray table it's way more comfortable than trying to lean onto the table. You can also put it on the ground to use as a foot stool but put a newspaper or something down first because we all know plane floors are disgusting.It inflates pretty easily too, I timed it before taking it on the flight it was under 2 minutes. The case could be a tiny bit bigger but I think they made it a drawstring /smaller on purpose. I might just put it in a different carrying case for my next flight.Highly recommend!
