Ok quality
I bought this desk chair at a thrift store for $10. Each arm had a small tear and I didn’t want to spend too much repairing it so I bought these patches. The thickness is fine and they are easy to use but I have my doubts about them staying stuck to the arms. It doesn’t seem like the edges are staying stuck flat. In a couple months if they are still in place I will update my review and add a star. Also they came to me folded in half. I had to flatten them out under a couple heavy books bc there was a crease in both.

Product was exactly as described and appears to be good quality and is a great value
Updating my review:The company responded to my suggestion and sent me 2 new patches (gratis) in the method I recommended: rolled up in a tube vs folded flat. They corresponded with me throughout the process and also indicated that they're now shipping the patches in tubes to avoid the scoring problem I mentioned in my original review. The new patches work great. Good customer service, a high degree of responsiveness, and an excellent product has made me re-grade them from a 3 to a 5. I would now recommend this product.Original review:Product was exactly as described and appears to be good quality and is a great value. The problem was shipping. It's 17" long so they folded the patches in half. (see pic to see size of patches compared to size of the clear plastic bag it came in. As a result, it's got a heavy visible score right down the middle and I can't use the patch in its entirety (which was my intent) because that heavy score line is smack dab in the middle and will jump out to the eye. As such, I'm returning the patches and have suggested to the seller that they ship their patches either completely flat or rolled up in a tube to avoid that kind of scoring. If you're planning to cut up the patches to use for smaller areas, this should work just fine for you.

DOESN'T STICK WELL.
I was thrilled that the patches matched so perfectly to my black vinyl chair. So I applied a piece to an armrest and it looked great! My happiness was shorted lived as the next morning the patch had traveled down on the longer side of the armrest. Gremlins at work! I then bought some "Tear Mender" glue which so far has held the patch in place. I applied the patch so that the length was even length on both sides and so far it has stayed in place. This glue is great but do not buy it on line as some have reported that the glue they received was old stock and completely solidified. Buy it at Walmart or a hardware store where you can examine it before buying. Next time choose leather if you are looking for long use. Happy patching!

Working fine so far.
These are a faster fix, but YOU MUST BE PATIENT to get them applied right and to see their usefulness. Make sure you clean the area with soap/water and dry completely first. Go slow. Take your time to cut the perfect length/width -and cut/round off the corners!! They can peel off right at the corners if you leave them as-is. My couch had a 12-inch rip in the cushion.. I placed an extra 12x2" piece on one side of the rip first, to create a little bit of space, then laid a second piece, 12x3", over the whole thing. Doing it this way made it so that when it gets sat on, it doesn't pop, because it has a little bit of "give" to it. It's now been sat on and slept on and it's still fine. The photo was taken 3 weeks after application.

My honest experience.
This was ridiculous. The color was great.. matched my black leather sofa perfectly. Then I noticed that the sticky underside of the leather patch was made of this soft velvety material. I thought it was strange to have the sticky side be such an unstable fabric but what do I know? I stuck it on the clean dry arm of the couch and it looked GREAT. After a minute of admiring it my husband decided he was over it and set down. The sticky came up RIGHT AWAY. Like 1 minute 3 seconds. The patch came right up but here's the fun part. The arm of my couch was now a sticky mess! The sticky/glue transferred from the soft and velvety fabric of the patch to my couch! I was so bummed. But since I'm a glutton for punishment I busted out the other patch (yay? two pack.) yup. Same exact moment. I thought, one time I bought a patch for another leather couch that had directions to use a blow dryer to help adhere it. So I tried... yea. Nope. Just sped up the glue transfer process. Ugh. You'll need to buy your own leather glue if you buy these patches.

Well... it sticks
Well the materials match. You be the judge of the appearance based off the photos...Same chair, different lighting angles.

It worked nicely in warmer weather
This is a generous pease of leather with adhesive on the Luther side. I cut out a patch for the leather seat in our car. It worked nicely in warmer weather, but with the temp dipping into 20s and lower, the patch got unglued. Now I am waiting for the weather to warm up again to retry it with a new patch cut out out of the same material.

It works, but it's not invisible
It's okay. It covered up the tear on my office chair but obviously you can see it as it's pretty pronounced. It's a dull black leather rather than shiny (for those that have a shiner leather like on my office chair). But it surely is better than buying another chair. Time will tell how it stands up over time.
