I have purchased dragon patterns from this creator before online (her elemental dragons - I've made about 15 of them by now, and they have all been wonderful creatures - I included one picture of one of them, this pattern is not directly in the book, but is very similar, I'll try to update when I have a picture of one from this book). Her patterns are clear and thorough. They are for intermediate if not advanced amigurumi crocheters. But they are beautiful and worth it! This book has a lot of smaller creatures (intermediate level I think, but they would help in getting you ready for the big ones) and a handful of big patterns. They won't disappoint though! In looking through her dragon pattern pictured on the front, she has a lot of variability. She has 7 options for different tail ornaments, 2 options for wings, 2 bellies, 6 back scales, 4 ears, etc. Her other patterns don't have as many options, but there are some (different tail for phoenix, mane for unicorn, adding phoenix wings to make unicorn a pegasus, etc). Every part of her book has detailed instructions and a lot of pictures. There is some crossover - it looks like the little creatures all have the same body type with different added pieces.If you like this creator, or if you are looking for a good pattern for a dragon, kraken, unicorn/pegasus, or phoenix, or for a lot of smaller fun creatures (I do love crocheting baby mobiles, this would be fun for that), this is the book for you! Beautiful!!! easy to follow instructions with diagrams and great pictures. Our God-daughter got this book from the library and liked it so much we purchased one for her so she could do all the patterns. She absolutely loves this book.She is not a pro crocheter but loves doing it. This book has easy to understand directions, lovely pictures and is well written.

I’m new to this type of crochet. The book is beautiful. I don’t know if the patterns are easy. I’m still learning.

I've been crocheting for 30 years. I would consider myself an intermediate crochet-er, as I can CREATE my own patterns for clothes, etc. However, I'm not that great at following patterns. This book was very easy to understand and follow instructions.My main complaint is that the instructions have many designs going around and around pieces that are only 5 stitches around. For someone with carpal tunnel and major cramping issues in my thumb muscles, this is a painful thing to do for an hour non-stop. Carpal tunnel is very common in long-term crochet-ers. I'm just wondering if we can do the tiny pattern pieces of the dragon tail as a flat, and then just sew the seam together at the end, for example. That would make it much less painful for us long-term crochet people.Other than that, the patterns are clear and the photos next to each step are VERY helpful. The colors she chose are beautiful. And I adore every single pattern she wrote. All in all, I think it's the best pattern book I've ever tried. My poor hands will forgive me, at some point.I will update with photos when I finish my dragon. and more photos when my 13 year old (beginner) finishes hers.

It's a little more advanced than I've done before, but the instructions are very clear and easy to follow. I love that i can mix and match pieces with the creatures, and i love that even the size of safety eyes are listed as well as where to place them in the instructions. It's very detailed and I'll be buying more books from this author.

Ive made a unicorn and started the cockatriece.The directions are easy to follow.It doesnt just write out the directions for each creature, it lists the pages you have to go to to find the body parts for each creature since some parts are used for more than one pattern.That took a bit to get used to but i created a very cute creature out of it.
