Polycell Sealant Strip Bathroom & Kitchen - White, 41mm

I will warn you - this is an very tricky to put on! After reading all the reviews, the instruction leaflet and multiple YouTube video, I finally felt ready to give this a shot!Couple of pointers which worked for me:-- you DEFINITELY need 2 people to do this - one to heat the sealant and one to apply- you MUST fill the bath with COLD water, to the same level as you would for a bath (don't use hot water - this creates too much moisture in the air)- decide on the type of corner you want to achieve before starting - we went for the easier option, the overlapping corner, and are very happy with the look and seal.- always cut the sealant strip a few cm longer than you need for each length - you can trim it afterwards but its a disaster if its too short!- unpeel the backing strip little by little, as you stick it down, ensure the 2nd person is behind you, heating the bit you've just stuck down with a HOT hairdryer (this melts the glue to the tiles for a better seal)- the person unpeeling the backing strip must use their other hand to put the sealant right into the corner of the walll - we did this with a wooden rectangular block - worked very well- this has all got to be done whilst hovering over a bath full of cold water!!! (or you could roll your trousers up and stand in it! - watch the hairdryer though!)- once the seal has been applied, drain the bath but don't use the shower/bath (or anything with moisture) in that bathroom for at least 24 hours (we waited 48 hours)follow all that and it work a TREAT! don't be put off! the work is definitely worth it - looks beautifully neat and stops the water leaking through! :)

1 star is 1 more than this product deserves! You would better off using sellotape as at least it would stick and be as water proof!Where to start? Firstly it has a convenient line down the middle to allow it to be folded in half to create a seal both on the vertical and horizontal, a great idea the only problem with this is that the strip has a natural reaction to return to it’s original shape (flat) thus pulling away from both areas you have tried to attach it too. Next we have the pre applied adhesive on the tape, it resembles ‘Play-doh’ and has the same adhesive qualities without additional sealant (or some sellotape) you will soon find the roll no longer attached to anything.On the positive side it was quick and easy to remove with no residue or mess and replace with something that actually worked!!!!!

Rubbish, rubbish, rubbish, rubbish........................! Thought being a brand it would be good quality, within 48 hours of using it is pealing off!! Followed instructions: free from moisture, dirt, grease etc., filled bath with water, as instructed, to allow for slight drop in bath position due to additional weight, no one used bath/shower for 24 hours after installing............There is not enough adhesive on the back to be strong, the adhesive has come away from the sealant strips but left it stuck to brand new tiles and bath!! - This I have to somehow remove before starting again with a different product.Avoid, avoid, avoidVery disappointed with product and very frustrated I need to find time to clear up the mess and re-do it!!

I went for this product based on the quality of other Polycell products that I've used over the years. I read some negative reviews before I purchased this but figured that others just weren't applying it correctly. I was wrong! This is the worst bathroom sealant that I've ever used. It wouldn't stick (even after following instructions, cleaning the areas etc and even pre-heating the adhesive) and in the end I had to apply a significant amount of silicon sealant and weigh the sealant tape down until the silicon cured overnight. I cannot recommend this product.

Waste of money, it didn't really work and not stick to wall at all and it fell after few days of using. Recommend the gel than this
