Lovely book
This is a lovely book to help others, children and adults, to understand why a child with DLD might behave in a certain way.

A real breakthrough for Developmental Language Disorder
This is a first for Developmental Language Disorder (DLD); a book for children written by an adult with DLD. This beautifully illustrated book provides an insight into the lived experience of DLD, whilst being upbeat and positive. It will be of benefit to all families with a child with DLD, but is also recommended to school libraries, as every school has lots of children with DLD. Well done Shelbi, you are a true inspiration.

Good for families
This is not only a useful tool to discuss a diagnosis of Developmental Language Disorder with children but will also extend their family’s knowledge of the range of difficulties this may included. Written in accessible language with lovely pictures and useful resources/contacts at the back. I will be recommending this when I give a diagnosis to both families and schools.
