Tycipy 16 Pack 1.2V 1000mAh Rechargeable Ni-MH AAA Batteries and 4 Bay AA AAA Battery Charger

I got this, because I needed some more rechargeable AAA batteries, and an included USB charger (good for travel) with LCD made it look like a good deal for the price, even though I normally get Eneloop when I need more rechargeable batteries. I do have two serious concerns, one with this charger and one with the batteries. The charger (using its included USB cable and a Yikeshu charger for the power source) lets the batteries get quite warm, almost hot, when charging. It didn't do that when I used a noodle-thin cable I got at Dollar Tree, also with the Yikeshu, but then I was concerned it was stopping the charge cycle too soon. The batteries were supposed to be pre-charged, but all of them needed to be topped-off. (Okay, maybe they spent more time than usual in a warehouse before purchase.) I charged some of the batteries in the included charger and the remaining ones in a PowerEx WizardOne charger. The diagnostic display on the PowerEx charger showed them accumulating more mAh than the batteries were labelled for, without stopping before I decided to take the batteries out. I've never seen it do that with any other brand of rechargeable batteries. That gives me concern about possible overcharging. I hate giving low ratings, but these concerns are about safety. I will keep these batteries for things that aren't too demanding, like TV remotes. The charger, I will use occasionally for travel, but I will certainly keep an eye on it and make sure it is ventilated when charging.

Easy to use with the computer to help charge up the batteries. Works with 1-4 batteries to charge each time. Also easy to tell how they are charging up, though the only compaint is sometimes the screen is a little hard to read.

One of my batteries arrived defective. When I try to recharge it there an error flashes on the charger's LCD. Also the charging slots can be a little finicky. Sometimes I have to reinsert the batteries for them to show up on the LCD. Otherwise, the batteries and charger are adequate enough that it is too much of a hassle to send back for a replacement set since some of the batteries are already in use.

I purchased the AA size of this battery with the recharger and love it so I purchased these AAA to go with some push button lights that I got and they work great. They hold a charge well and recharge fairly quickly. Grat product. Thanks....Rick Burnham

So Far so good, all took some charge but time will tell.
