If you read and loved Carthago, then you know exactly what a treat you're in for!
I'm a huge fan of Christophe Bec. Carthago was spectacular and 'Adventures follows suit. The panel work is spectacular, the writing is consistent! Love it!

An actual review for the book and story, not font size
Wanted to get in before that ridiculous review before me put people off and ruined the star rating:So lets get this out of the way. It's a Humanoids book. The text is always small. Also its translated from another language meaning they have to make sure to be able to fit all of the text. Also its not THAT small. It's just not the usual American big bold Comic Sans comic readers are used to. It leaves room for both words and art, not an overwhelming amount of bubbles ruining incredible art.Anyway. On to the real review. If you read Carthago before this then you know what you're in for. If not, you do not need to have read Carthago. This story is accessible to the new reader. But if you loved Carthago you will love this just as much. And likewise if you love this, boy will you love Carthago even more. This story is for fans of cryptozoology, films like Jaws, King Kong, The Lost World, books like Steve Altens Meg and The Loch. It is every monster lovers dream story. I have always wanted a comic book/book/film to do what this Carthago series has done. And now its finally happened. Amazing story and does the thing I love in science fiction/adventure stories - uses facts and true stories to build on the story. This means not only do you believe everything in this book is possible, you can reference some of the names, places and events and read about actual stories that inspired them. The creators of this series must love this concept as much as me. Too often are these wonderful stories and legends treated for either gory scares or laughs in pop culture. This series takes it seriously and if you didn't believe before, you will now.

Great series - but get it on Kindle
Downloaded the entire 5-book collection on Kindle. With the way it moves frame by frame, the font complaint mentioned by some wasn't an issue at all. $25 great value for 5 large graphic novels. (Especially as $15-$25 each for physical copies.) Can't wait to finish the series!

Enjoyed it quite a bit
Enjoyed it quite a bit. Potential readers should know that it's a nominally a prequel to Carthago, but there's no reason you couldn't read the two books in any order you want.Contrary to some other reviews, the font size appears pretty normal to me. Certainly no harder to read than any other comic. The art is gorgeous, too.

Great sequel
Wonderful sequel to Cathargo. This is a collection of stories. All fun. Some better then others. Don’t is way to small making it hard to read.

What the Frick?!?
Firstly, I just got this book, then opened it and saw how very very small the letters are. So now I can't read the graphic book and I must find a page magnifyer in order to read it. Boo!

Jaw dropping. And every shark lover's fantasy daydream!!!!
Visually Stunning and genuinely epic in scope, this engrossing tale and the quality cover in which it's bound is much more than I ever could have hoped for.The text is clear and easy to read, the panels logically laid out, the artwork sublime as is the colouring. I took a chance and bought this Graphic Novel from the U.S and the subsequent volume "Carthago Adventures" simultaneously on the impact of the cover illustration alone.I'm very pleased to say that the effort and expense were worth it and I shall now collect all of the other independent books by this team too.Hooked..instantly.Awesome, simply awesome page after page...and what a movie it would make. Or poster sized panels.....Verdict. Unmissable! (And I'm not a prolific buyer of graphic novels by the way).
