Reality Switch Technologies: Psychedelics as Tools for the Discovery and Exploration of New Worlds

Must read for all fellow nerds
I got interested into Andrew with his original book, Alien Information Theory, which was recommended to me by -- no joke, Alex Jones. Gallimore was able to explain his theories on the chemical in a way that wasn't all "woo" and stoner talk, but actually intellectual and scientific. His ability to explain the drug resonated with me a lot and is what actually got me interested in DMT - Which I ended up taking to see for myself, and ultimately experienced the impossible, which just further got me interested in this naturally occurring chemical.I'm barely into this book, but it very much feels like the follow up. Incredibly in depth and compelling.

Read If you really want to understand how Psychedelics work
In a time with lots of pseudo-science propagating in the psychedelic literature, books as deeply embedded in credible science as this one are desperately needed. I was tempted to laugh at tthe author's premise (communicating with aliens, really?), but I bought it for the promise of an understanding of how psychedelic agents actually work in the brain/mind from molecule to consciousness and I was not disappointed. The author has a talent for explaining advanced concepts in chemistry pharmacology, neurology, and neural networks in a way that is both accurate and understandable to people who may lack background in each domain. His claims are outside conventional thinking and only the future will demonstrate if they are true or not, but they are completely plausible and his exceptional command of the material and his effortless prose help illustrate the way humans navigate consensus reality using the most advanced computer in (at least our neck of) the universe- the human brain.

Perfect introduction to useful concepts of neuropsicopharmacology
I loved the inclusion of dissociatives (surprisingly, many peole dont think they have value as psychedelics) and the unconventional salvinorin A.

This book is so great!
This is an incredibly valuable text. I could not put it down once I began reading. The author really knows his stuff. And explained everything with great detail. Finally we are seeing real information about the wonders of these molecules. I believe this book will be a very important step into understanding our consciousness in the future.

Fantastic and insightful book
For anyone curious about the fundamental mechanisms that lie behind psychedelic experiences, this is THE book to get. The author doesn't simplify the biochemistry or neurology. He does, however, give the reader all the background they necessary to understand the topics without needing a degree in the physical sciences. If you're serious about learning why psychedelic drugs have such profound and sometimes mystical effects on our perception of reality, then this book is required reading.

Brilliant & Mind-Blowing-- Gallimore is Creating the Neuroscience of the Future!
Timothy Leary, Terence McKenna, Robert Anton Wilson, and John Lilly would be thrilled and raving about the work of Andrew Gallimore if they were alive today! In this new book, and in his previous book *Alien Information Theory*, Gallimore is creating the neuroscience of the future, mapping out the fundamental building blocks for how our brains create worlds, and helping to design the technologies that will open up portals to hyperspace and allow us to travel to new dimensions of reality with great precision and sustainability. Focusing specifically on those psychedelics that bring shamanic voyagers into what appear to be parallel dimensions of reality— such as DMT, salvia, ketamine, and the deliriants— this extraordinarily ambitious work aims to solve the mystery of how our brains engineer realities, by integrating neurochemistry and pharmacology with psychology, philosophy, and psychedelic trip reports.Gallimore views the brain as a reality building machine that has the capacity to “switch channels,” allowing us to tune into alternative realities, and he envisions technologies that will allow us to travel to these new worlds and engage with the beings there for extended periods of time. This may be the most exciting scientific adventure in human history! Although *Reality Switch Technologies* does get technical in certain areas, Gallimore provides all of the necessary background material needed to understand everything in the book, and any extra effort is well worth the insights that they provide. I’ve been waiting years for a book that covered this exciting material and savored every page. I loved this brilliant, artistically crafted, and absolutely mind-blowing book so much; and couldn’t recommend it more highly!
