You have to think creatively, this helmet does more then you may anticipate.
I bought this for a new "face" for a convention. Some pointers. This mask is best utilized while using the app on your phone and the mask while on. To save custom designs to the mask, you must have it powered on and linked via Bluetooth. DIY design portal has a "gallery" icon where you can use your custom pre saved designs DIY works alot like old-school lightbrite. Pro tip: the app doesn't support screen rotation, so if you rotate your phone counterclockwise 90° the controls are basic, functional, and best used w a stylus. You can type in the DIY area or create designs. To change design soft settings you first want to link to Bluetooth, have mask on, enter diy, select your settings, ( blink, wave up, wave down, speed, etc ) then select your design. Helmet will default to whatever your past design is when powered on next if not connecting to bluetooth. Music feature ties into music physically on your phone in your storage, not functional w Spotify or other apps that I've found yet. Works well with a balaclava.

High quality
I really like this mask. The front visor is tinted black like sunglasses The light up part is below the eye level. The underside flashing lights are individual lights that can be turned on separately. You can connect your phone to the visor lights and make custom messages. The strap in the back is elastic with clips you can tighten. I have a fairly large head and I had to tighten it up to fit well. The only problem I have with it is to charge it you need to charge 3 separate devices not one total system of lights.

Cool techno helmet
The features from the app kinda suck but the helmet itself looks amazing

Fun to wear
This mask was great to wear while it lasted. The LED stopped working or flickered after a couple days of use. Other then the LED it was sturdy.

Could be better
Pros light weight All the lights function Construction is sturdy adjustable straps Cons It seems very little effort was made at maintaining symmetry. Holes are not drilled evenly which leads to a lop sided look. Led screen can't line up with the center due to the length of the strip, and layout of its small circuit board. the actual leds are off to one side. This is one issue that cannot be remedied without moving the position of the strip to a wider part of the visor or replacing with a better sized strip. Its is possible to fix with a simple power drill and a ruler but its annoying that I have to. Fun project base, but not very precisely built. Not something I would take photos in right out of the box, it will need a little bit of work.

No way of changing to solid color, screw fell out
Bought this for a cyberpunk festival. The pictures are misleading as there is now was of changing from the 4 color panels to a solid color. I found the app to be very limiting, a lot of the stock animations are childish or goofy with very few options. The day i wore it at the festival, in less than an hour one of the lights fell out because the screw and nut came loose and fell in the dirt somewhere. So for the rest of the night the light was just dangling on by a ziptie. I tried to swap it for another screw and bolt that were more cosmetic but the lights were the only ones with screws and nuts that size. If i knew about the app and LCD limitations I would have bought another one instead.

for this price i would buy
the overall look is great but there are a lot of issues 1. a nut was missing so the top of the frame would stay together. 2. it is not symmetrical every thing is slightly off. 3 the horn (or ears) on the top have to be installed and the give you 2 sided tape and bolts to screw it down. the issue is the horns are not shaped to the helmet so the tap doesn't work even it was remember the part about it not being symmetrical and straight well that may be the problem but I could find a sweet spot for the tape. a sube issue is the screws for the horns also don't fit 2 of the are to small to screw down. so I have 2 useless screws and tape that doesn't work. all in an $80 package. the electronics work well enough.
