My FIRST "Clay" Clean Worked PERFECTLY
This is the FIRST time I have ever cleaned a car with "clay". I read about doing it and watched several "You Tube" videos that show the use of a small piece of "clay" and kneading it a LOT as a way to do this. Then I saw this "mitt" from "Jianfa" at "Amazon" and thought this might be easier and more effective than messing with a small piece of "clay". It was for me.Even for my first time using "clay", this "mitt" made it very easy to ONLY clean the painted surfaces of my car. As advised by most, I did not use this on the "chrome painted plastic trims" on my car. I also avoided the vinyl and rubber trims around the bumpers and windows as some said this "may" mess them up. Just as most experienced users said, you can FEEL the dirt spots with some "resistance" as you wipe and clean the painted surfaces with this mitt and when clean, the surface becomes very slippery just as described by experienced users. This "mitt" worked incredibly well for me. I took my time and used a lot of very soapy car wash soap and water as a lubricant and did small areas very slowly and very carefully. It took me about one hour and 30 minutes to do my dark red, 4 door Toyota Avalon and it was completely cleaned. This "clay mitt" not only removed "rough" dirt I could not see but also bugs, sap and various contaminants very well from the hard places like the air spoiler on the front of the car and the rocker panels on both sides. Even some spots that I thought were paint chips were NOT and cleaned off completely using this mitt. After using this "clay mitt", I then proceeded with polishing, sealing and waxing the entire car very successfully. I do know this "clay mitt" worked very well. The front air spoiler was the most dirty and this "clay mitt" very obviously cleaned it very well and very easily. I did NOT have to use any bug or tar remover products at all. This "mitt" with very soapy water worked perfectly for me. I did use a "two bucket" wash. That is, one bucket of clear water to rinse and clean the mitt after each section AND a "wash" bucket to continuously keep "dipping and saturating" it in very soapy wash water to proceed with cleaning. As some others have mentioned, I did have to take my time removing this new mitt from the plastic bag it was sent in. The "clay" surface of the mitt is very tacky and sticky by design so it will stick to the plastic bag it comes in. I just had to very slowly and carefully slide my fingers between that clay surface and the plastic bag to remove it for its first use. I now plan to store this mitt when it is dry in a covered plastic "Tupperware" type container with the sticky side up to avoid that problem for future use.I have only used this mitt once so far but I am very pleased with how well it worked for me. The mitt still looks as good as new after using it for about 90 minutes and hopefully it will clean as well again many more times.Again, this is the FIRST time I have ever used any type of "clay" cleaning method but I am both very pleased and impressed with how well this worked for me on my car.I am NOT a solicited reviewer for this mitt. I am just one old man that found a new and better way to really clean my car with this mitt before waxing or polishing. I would highly recommend it.

Replaces Fine/Light Clay in Almost Every Situation
Now using my second of this "clay bar mitt" and have used several other brands in the pastI was satisfied with what I had been using the last couple years but my local supplier ceased to sell them so I had to jump on Amazon to find a quick replacement. This appears identical to another name brand our supplier had carried but this one is half the cost.I use it in a wash bay with a fairly slick wash soap (rarely and clay specific lube) after the surface has been washed. For those of you who are on the fence about a mitt/towel or clay, I would highly recommend these. This is a fine grade mitt. It doesn't do much for very heavy paint over spray, but is excellent for getting normal fallout etc off a paint surface. Other mitts labeled as "medium" or "heavy" will do better in these nastier situations.I prefer the mitt over a towel style because it is easier to grasp and holds more water/soap solution. My hands are too big to fit inside it, but it is still easier to hold than the towel style.I rub it over an average of 8-10 vehicles per week, though sometimes not every inch of the exterior surface, and this is such a time saver. I replace them when the polymer surface is glossy smooth when dry which usually is every 30-45 days of use (50-60 vehicles on average). Compared to clay this is a cost savings by itself.Time saver? It covers more surface area than a clay bar with each swipe, it requires no kneading, and is consistent in a wide temperature range. The only cleaning it requires is a quick rinse under running water or dunking in a bucket of wash solution.I am getting this part of the job done faster and with less physical strain.Storage is simply leaving it on a vented rack to keep it from mildewing. It does not require any container since it won't go dry or collect contamination. One suggestion that is rarely mentioned on anyone's clay mitt packaging: for their first few wipes/swipes on a surface when brand new, do so on glass instead of paint as initial use will leave darker colored smears that sometimes require a stronger soap to remove. It is easier to clean from glass and leaves no marring.

Medium quality but works.
Much more forgiving than a clay bar. Can rinse and reuse if dropped not like true clay bar. Drop You're clay And throw it away

Much faster
Fits like a glove and makes the job so much faster.

Buy the other brand
Don't get this one nothing wrong with it just that it makes more sense to get a clay mit that has holes so the contamination has a place to go

Get a g3 one
Excellent if you want to leave marring on your paintwork because of the stiff clay
