Lewis Carrol wrote a charming immortal story
Rating: 5.0/5.0First I want to talk about this beautiful edition of the book released by Barnes & Nobles. It is a purple/pink leather bound with the edges in silver color and it has lots of beautiful illustrations that helps a lot in understanding the story better. The papers are thick and very durable and made of great quality. The book has two stories Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. I have read the first many years back but it is the first time I read the second one.The story of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland is such a delight to revisit again. It is as charming as it was when I read it first time, maybe I am loving it even more today. It is funny, colorful and sometimes dark if you think of it. I absolutely adore the curiosity of Alice regarding her surroundings and love it when she keeps talking to herself and reacting to that! The characters in both stories are so well crafted, each and every character of them. I love the first story more and I would give it a complete five star while the second one is more of a three and half or four star but still it has its own charm as well.Although I love Disney's anime film and also Johnny Depp's movie but I still feel that Alice in Wonderland has not been turned into a feature film that is true to the book. I would love to see that happen in the future. This classic is one of those which is still regarded as one of the best adventure books that is enjoyed by children and adults equally. Lewis Carroll's story is truly an immortal one.

A weird, yet enjoyable classic
I decided to read this little book due to some recent questions that I was having about perception and reality. With so many AIW references in “The Matrix” and other discussions about who and where we are, I decided to go down this rabbit hole (sorry, I had to do it) and revisit this classic. I have to admit, I had never read this “real” version before, only the kiddie versions in school, as well as heard the story told to me or watched multiple cartoons and movies on this tale. So while I knew what it was generally about, was not quite sure what to expect on paper. This particular book has two parts- Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. I found the first part deep, weird, philosophical, and taking many notes on some of the memorable quotes, situations, and contexts. In “Through the Looking Glass”, I found it harder to follow, and just let myself go with the story and its absurdity. I think that was the point, but while the story in the first part was better, there were specific scenarios that kept a reader in attention- for example the word games, number games, crazy puns, and weird questions or statements that sound so crazy, you can’t believe how realistic it is. So I would highly recommend this classic as a great story, or a possible window, if you will, into learning more about yourself, perceptions, and the “wonderlands” that you expose yourself to.

Alice in Wonderland ...
As a kid I enjoyed watching all of the Alice in Wonderland movies so I was excited to read this book. Even though reading isn't one of my favorite things to do I was still interested when I got the assignment to read this book for class. Because I watched all three Alice in Wonderland movies, I thought I knew exactly what to expect from the book. But reading Lewis Carroll's, Alice in Wonderland is actually very different compared to the movies. Every chapter I was surprised with new information. The most recent movie spin on Alice in Wonderland featured a scene where Alice killed the Jabberwocky, a part that was cut from the first two films but was a major scene told by a poem in the book. Many smaller details, like small characters, were left out of the movies too so in all reading the book is a better option for anyone especially if you're looking to get all the information on Alice and her journey. For those less interested in reading I don't recommend this book. Even though it's filled with amazing scenes and characters, it can sometimes be overwhelming and even boring. Alice in Wonderland is jam packed with over forty characters that are quickly introduced, some that are hard to understand and get to know. Also the setting alters rapidly and isn't always a swift change which can be frustrating because it's difficult to follow. Now if you're the type of person who enjoys great detail and beautiful scenery then you'll love the vast surroundings that Carroll created in wonderland but you also must be up for a sort of challenge. As a fifteen year old reading this book it was always interesting, but I wasn't always intrigued enough to want to read on. I would say that this book is most appropriate for readers around the age of twelve. Lewis Carroll stylistically wrote Alice in Wonderland at a level easy enough for middle schoolers but in order for them to finish the book I'd say that they'd have to be interested enough to read it all. With all the crazy obstacles Alice is facing a person with an open mind would probably continue to read on. Also because Alice is younger it might be easier for children to relate and connect with her. If you've seen the Alice in Wonderland movies and enjoyed them then I definitely recommend reading this book. You'll be surprised by the amount of detail left out by the movies. This book is truly amazing and I'm sure you won't regret adding it into your library.

I got it when price was low, great price, pristine condition
I was waiting for price to go down. For a while it was $26-$30 for bluray withOUT digital.Lucky me, I got it for less than $7 this time and came in good condition(which rarely happens during international order). I wanted to buy Korean version with Korean Audio +Korean Subtitle. Disney has both on disneyplus. But it's $40-$50 for the bluray that does NOT have Korean Audio. I don't know why disney will make it but not include in their bluray urghhhh. Korean Audio is superb and I like it more than the original English but oh well, I got this for $7 and finding myself some consolation

Fantastic Edition!
It's really nice to have both stories in one text. Additionally, I like that the original woodcuts are included.

Lo cercavo da un sacco e finalmente l’ho trovato, oggi mi è arrivato e sono felicissima lo amo. L’unica pecca è che puzza un po’ di muffa ma non fa niente è in ottime condizioni
