ThiEYE 4K Action Camera Wifi Waterproof Sport Video Camera 12MP Full HD 2" Screen with Multiple Modes, 170 Wide Angle, 197FT Waterproof, App Control and Full Accessories (V5s) The sturdy frame gives you hope that even though you spent a forth of the price than the higher brands you got a quality product. What I like about the V5s is the simple to use navigation and setup. Even though it doesn’t come with a touchscreen you can still switch between mode and access the settings very easily. I always hated the GoPro buttons that seemed I never could mash them hard enough to change the modes within the case. The V5s is a lot easier to push the buttons in and out of the case.The V5s comes with plenty of accessories to satisfy your needs to get started, but if it doesn’t have everything you need then it is compatible with GoPro attachment accessories in case you need a head strap or something else. The camera itself without the case has a 1/4 inch tripod screw hole on the bottom of the camera. In case you want to mount it on a tripod to get better sound.The sound quality inside the case is pretty non-existent which I have experienced with the older GoPro cameras as well. The sound outside of the case is ok, but then again most people don’t buy the action cameras for the sound quality.The video that comes out of the camera is very nice. You can shoot at 4k (interpolated), 1080p at 30fps and 60fps and 720@120fps for some super slow-mo. I prefer the 1080p which creates a smaller file and more manageable to edit.The 4K is interpolated and not native but this won’t make a huge difference for the average user. My main camera is only 1080p so native 4K isn’t necessary for what I am using the footage for.This picture quality is there with 170 degree field of view giving you the fisheye effect like most action cameras.One thing I don’t like is that you can’t put the micro-SD card into a Mac and it show up. You have to plug the camera into the computer and put the camera in USB mode to pull the footage off of it, but I haven’t tried it on a PC so I don’t know if there is a difference. This isn’t that much trouble but I thought that should be noted.Also, I had trouble figuring out how to put the lens filters on the camera. The manual doesn’t explain that part of it, nor does the ThiEYE website. I ended up watching a video that explained unscrewing the orange ring around the camera lens, which then you can screw on the lens filters.Overall it’s a great camera and for the price… WOW! You won’t regret saving the money with the ThiEye V5s!

Good quality action camera especially for the price! The carbon fiber style finish made it sleek and very good design! Haven’t been diving with yet, will update after Hawaiian trip next month!

The newest GoPro just came out, and while it looks great, it’ll run you close to $600 with the necessary accessories. While you could spend that kind of money, I’m here to tell you why the ThiEYE Original V5s Camera gives the GoPro line a run for its money!To begin, the camera comes with everything you’ll need to get started (excluding a Micro SD card)This includes: The camera itself, a battery, instructions, waterproof housing, and a number of other accessories such as other lenses and mounds. Right from the start, this is much more than you get with the GoPro line, except with the ThiEYE camera everything is included and does not have to be purchased separately.Operating the camera is very easy. To start it up, simply hold down the button on the front. From there, you can choose the recording mode you’d like to use from the buttons on the side, and you can begin recording or taking pictures with the top button of course. In short, navigating the camera is incredibly easy, and I don't see it being a problem for anybody, regardless of their experience with technology.What’s great about this camera is that it has a built in 2.0” LCD screen on the back side. All of the older GoPro’s (up until the 4 Silver) DO NOT include an LCD screen which makes this a worthy contender at its low price.As far as quality goes, I’d rate it as very good. The quality reminds me of the older GoPro Hero 3. This is very good considering the price. The camera is capable of shooting in 4k, but I prefer to use 1080p to make life easy. Things can be edited much quicker that way. You’ll notice that the camera sort of has a fish eye effect. Most cameras do, and this one is no exception. This means that you’ll able to capture everything you want to without having to specifically focus on that object or scene. This of course can be turned off it desired.Overall, whether you’re a seasoned action camera user, or a beginner, this action camera will guarantee lots of fun. With its low price, it’s difficult to spend more money on more expensive cameras like the GoPro or Yi when this one does essentially the same thing. While it is unfair to compare the cameras because one is much more expensive, I feel that the ThiEYE Original V5s does indeed give more expensive cameras a good run for their money. One thing I would like to see in the future is an extra battery included in the package, as action cameras as very battery hungry. Other than that, this is a great action camera that I would very much recommend!

The media could not be loaded.  As a landscape photographer I love my filters and have always been hesitant to use an action cam for timelapse or landscape video because most of them do not have the option of adding any sort of expensive filter accessory. Enter ThiEye… For a little under $90, this camera is a game changer for me. The body is aluminum on all sides, making the most durable feeling camera from thiEye. The body has metal threads built right into the camera itself allowing easy an secure attachment of filters. In the box you'll find a clear UV filter, as well as a decent CPL filter. The video quality is decent - I haven't tried it at 4k yet, but 1080 at 30 and 60fps is great. The menu system seems to be the exact same as ThiEye's i60 camera, which is easy to use. It lacks a lot of menu and customization options like the more expensive cameras from ThiEye… but I almost like the simple layout of this one better. This is an amazing camera for the money. I think the only downside of this camera is that it uses a different battery than both the i60 camera and the T5 and T5Edge cameras, meaning if you already own those cameras and have a stock of batteries for them, it's time to buy a few more for this camera.

The media could not be loaded.  ****Confezione****La confezione si presenta veramente molto bene, si vede che il prodotto è di alta qualità, all’interno infatti sono presenti “pochi” accessori ma che fanno emergere un ottima fattura e la cosa la apprezzo tantissimo.Molto bella e pratica anche la borsetta morbida che esce in confezione, si sente che non è scadente, la cura nei minimi dettagli fa fare un salto di qualità a questo prodotto**** Caratteristiche ****Le caratteristiche complete son scritte in descrizione, senza ripetermi voglio evidenziare i punti importanti.- La qualità costruttiva è veramente alta, si sente subito prendendola in mano che è ricercata la solidità e i materiali sono estremamente piacevoli, la tramatura carbonio unita alla levigatura cromata e a questo color “arancio” che fa contrasto me la fa apprezzare tantissimo, esteticamente e qualitativamente è senza ombra di dubbio la più belle che abbia avuto, punto di forza è anche la batteria che dura sopra la media, si vede che l’hanno curata molto.- Oltre alle risoluzioni che son scritte sopra (4k 30fps, 2,7K 30fps, 1080p 60fps) che conferiscono un ottima qualità dell’immagine sotto tutti gli scenari, c’è la possibilità di fare bellissimi effetti time-lapse scegliere a che risoluzione fare lo slow-motion (720p a 120fps è quello più bello e fluido, ma c’è anche 1080 a 60fps) che riesce a creare effetti bellissimi. Si possono fare video in loop, foto in sequenza, mettere l’autoscatto, bilanciamento del bianco ed esposizione come meglio si adatta al contesto.- SE la vogliamo usare come Dash-Cam c’è una funzione UTILISSIMA che mi ha sorpreso, in pratica oltre a poter ruotare la ripresa di 180°, usarla in car-mode (quindi con video in loop) c’è il G-SENSOR che può essere tarato nella sensibilità che ci consente di far accendere la Action Cam qualora subisca una vibrazione (in base a come la tariamo) e avviare subito una registrazione, questo è utile se ad esempio abbiamo l’auto ferma nel parcheggio, qualcuno ci urta e lei è in grado di accendersi e riprendere il colpevole, fantastico no?!- Filtri intercambiabili sono forse la cosa che emerge di più in questo prodotto, c’è la possibilità di mettere due diversi filtri usciti in confezione (Filtro UV e CPL) che riescono a migliorare la qualità dell’immagine. Non cambiano totalmente ma nel confronto tra con e senza, si vede che aiuta tantissimo, ad esempio quando si inquadra il cielo o il mare, rendendo visibili i particolare che senza hanno difficoltà ad emergere.**** App ****Punto a favore di questa Action Cam è che ha un app proprietaria, ciò significa che gestisce UNICAMENTE i propri dispositivi ed è fatta ad hoc per la Thieye.Tramite l’app possiamo visionare cosa riprende il dispositivo e controllarlo in remoto, quindi avviando filmati, facendo foto e cambiando tutte le impostazioni, dalla risoluzione alla modalità. Inoltre è possibile visionare i file e scaricarli sul proprio Smartphone. Semplice , utile e funzionale, APPROVATA!**** Esperienza personale ****Usare questa action cam è un piacere!Già dal feeling iniziale con la qualità costruttiva, l’estetica e i filtri mi hanno fatto strizzare l’occhio a questo dispositivo. Ma fare filmati e rivederli sul pc è veramente bello.Mi sono piaciute tantissimo le foto e penso sia un gradino sopra le altre che si vendono qui, con i filtri poi si vede che hanno qualcosa in più.Nell’utilizzo devo far presente la mancanza di una stabilizzazione elettronica (per quello c’è la sorella maggiore) però tutto sommato è una cosa che si può fare in post produzione al pc (in pratica far fare al pc quello che potrebbe fare la action cam, semplicemente) oppure utilizzare un Gimbal, cosa che ho testato ed i risultati sono SORPRENDENTI, infatti mettendo 4K vi sorprenderete della bellezza delle immagini.Avendo anche un Kit di accessori (pettorina, caschetto ecc.) l’ho provata in situazioni in cui c’è più movimento e la qualità delle immagini non si discute, belle , chiare e “immersive”, ho sopperito alle vibrazioni tramite pc. Meglio avere buone immagini e stabilizzarle dopo che avere immagini scarse già stabilizzate.**** Conclusioni ****Mi sento di consigliare tantissimo questo prodotto per la qualità costruttiva e delle riprese, consci che ci sarà un po’ da stabilizzare, ma come ho detto, preferisco avere belle immagini e usare altri modi per stabilizzarle.Spero che condividere la mia esperienza ti è stato utile.

Me ha dado grandes resultados, calidades acorde a la descripción, y accesorios adecuados para iniciarse con las camaras deportivas.Como pega, mencionar la escasa calidad de la pantalla de la cámara, se hace necesario pasar los archivos para verlos y seleccionar las mejores fotos. Además el cristal del objetivo es algo delicado, hay que tenerla dentro de la carcasa o con alguno de los filtros siempre puesto para protegerlo.La aplicación para pasar los archivos al móvil o tablet de ThyEye es bastante justita y suele colgarse a menudo(en mi caso con iOS). Es más rápido optar por conectar tu tarjeta SD al ordenador.

This camera is very goods, easy to use and built in a strong and robust way.The 4K action camera really is at the top of its game and is up there with the Gopro family (if not above) for considerably more money. This camera is easy to setup and use and the multiple included attachments are easy to swap out. This camera represents great value for money and comes with a nice accessories box all with neat places for the items. This camera records in several different High resolutions and frame rates and supports a 128GB TF card (Micro SD). The camera is reasonably light and extremely well built. Its a great little actioncam. I tried the underwatercase down to a 20m dept and it performed excellent. Picture and build quality are both very good. But when using it in photomode instead of camera mode, you would probably better use the camera from your mobile phone. I totally recommend it.

La actioncam ThiEYE V5s si distingue dalle altre actioncam principalmente per la presenza di filtri rimovibili, e in particolare del filtro polarizzatore circolare, che permette di migliorare le riprese in particolari condizioni, come ad esempio quando si riprende i corsi d'acqua e il mare (dall'esterno). La costruzione sembra buona, ed anche i menù sono di facile navigazione. Come le actioncam di pari livello registra in 4k ma non nativamente, ma interpolando. L'unica pecca secondo me è la custodia impermeabile che non permette l'alloggiamento della actioncam con i filtri montati, costringendo a smontare ogni volta i filtri, e impedendo delle riprese con i filtri (che comunque andrebbero calibrati prima dell'inserimento nella custodia) fuori dall'acqua ma nelle sue prossimità o anche solo per tenere la actioncam al sicuro da agenti esterni. Ho provato a registrare a 1080p e il video prodotto presenta un leggero rumore bianco, tipico dei piccoli sensori che vengono montati in questa tipoliga di dispositivi. E' comunque un buon acquisto se paragonato al prezzo.
