Learn Spanish: Rosetta Stone Spanish (Latin America) - Level 1

The program is great. I gave it four stars because since it was used the activation codes were used up. I had to jump through hoops to get it activated. Had the previous owner deactivated (uninstalled) properly it would not have been an issue. So learn from this. Address the issue of activation codes before purchase of used software.As for the product, love it. I'm looking forward to 2-5. Also know that you can purchase 1-5 for $200+ from Rosetta Stone. Paying $100 for 1 is insane.

This program is a huge disappointment!I have several critiques of this program. My first thing is that yes, I understand this is an emersion program. But a little English that gives you instructions on what they are asking you to do in each exercise would go a long way.Second, the pictures are not always helpful with depicting what they are asking. For example there is one section with six pictures. They are talking about flowers. I am assuming that they are trying to show you "you, they, them, we". I'm still not sure. I have done that exercise 5 times and I still don't know what the translation is.Third, the microphone doesn't behave sometimes. They will ask for pronunciation and I have to repeat myself several times. I am saying it correctly and it doesn't accept it.Fourth, I know that I have gotten to the point where I have memorized the pictures with the saying. That doesn't mean that I fully understand what is being said. For example, there is a section where you start talking about other countries. You learn the pronunciation of Russia and Egypt. Fine. But then there is a section where you have to say he is from Columbia, she is from Columbia, and we are from Rome. These are all things that are very helpful, but without having some English to help you understand what is happening and what you are learning grammatically. I don’t know when to use “tengo” or ”estoy”. Tengo hambre means I’m hungry, estoy aqui means I’m here. In both case’s you are saying “I’m”, but you would say estoy hambre, or tengo aqui.Fifth, since it is an emersion program, how about teaching me some stuff that could be helpful? There will almost be no time that I can think of where I will say “the apple is on the laptop”.Lastly, I score in the 90's for each unit. I feel pretty good about that. Then I get to the "milestone" and score in the 60's. There is something wrong with that.

I bought this to learn some Spanish for no other reason than I want to lol. Rosetta Stone really does make it so easy. I kept thinking I'm not really learning anything thing then all of a sudden it clicked I knew a lot more than I thought and it also is very enjoyable. I am not super thrilled with the headset. I frequently have had aggravations from it not hearing and recognizing my voice. Over all I love this system and like so so many others will certainly recommend this system to others.

Just started, but I like it. It came with a headphone/earphones that came in handy. First you have to install the Program, and then you have to install your Lesson Disc, and then enter your code, so be prepared to spend 30 minutes getting started. It is well worth it, although, as more than half of the people at my work speak spanish and most of those speak very little english. I recommend this for everyone.

i heard so much about Roseta stone, i am already bilingual myself & i learned German very easily when i was in Germany in my 30s i heard so much that this software is so interactive & all. its good but does not let you talk, i don't know maybe other levels do but not level one but there are times that i want to think and answer it doesn't let me, it says the answer.but it's been 2 weeks now hopefully i can get somewhere.

Very nice, easy to install. If there's a down side, then it's twofold. You can only install it on one computer(no surprise there). But I had to do a recovery and then it was not to be. The people at Rosetta did give me a download that works, so kudos to them.Next are the pictures. They lack clarity. Hard to tell El ninos from la ninas. In some cases even hombrs from mujeres.

I wish it had not been timed purchased to allow me time to get ready, set, go (now, start). I was trying out the application and it started the timer. I was not squared away to devote my time to it. I want another chance to begin.

The ABSOLULTY BEST BEST BEST WAY TO LEARN NEW LAUNGES I have learned 3 so far and I am now Going to re take SPANISH, I thought ok hardest launge possible was Chinnise and WHILE HARD this is the BEST WAY in a MONTH I grew so much and I AM 55 when I started these, I am NOW 58

I purchased this package to have some conversational Spanish for a tour of Cuba. The graphics and sound were excellent and very helpful for getting pronunciation right. The menus and process seemed somewhat hard to navigate. However, after quite a few sessions I still did not have the common conversational phrases and questions that I wanted so I purchased a book and downloaded some small apps to practice those phrases. Perhaps Rosetta is better suited to someone who wants a broader knowledge of Spanish and better pronunciation.

Enjoy using this.I love that you have to pronounce words correctly into your headset for the lessons to advance.It also has an option that allows you to speak online with someone to learn how to have a conversation in the language you have chosen.

So far so good. I have no background or knowledge of Spanish. I am actually enjoying the lessons because they are designed for the beginner.Should have ordered all levels at the start but will hunt around for the best price on levels 2 - 5.If you took Spanish in school you would probably find this level to basic..

Though it initally seemed to good , the repetition and the apparent lack of reference resources seemed to make the software tedious and limited. I found I had to use other web resources to help me with terms(glossary) etc.
