This book is awesome, and hard reading. Prepare to keep a highlighter and pen with you to take note either in the margin or on paper -- or don't bother reading it. It's 1 of the 7 Primary Kabbalistic texts. If you're a noob, don't bother reading it, you may want to wait.

great book and not really that difficult.

This is a valuable and excellent translation, essential to understanding the core concepts of Kabbalah. The translators have also translated volume two and I hope will continue with the further volumes. This is my second copy; I wore out my first.

This series of books make the teachings of Rav Isaac Luria live in a form that invites learning. The translators have made this material accessible to readers in today's world. Very readable and beautifully organized!

Absolutely necessary Kabbalah text. Thanks to the translators! I dearly hope that they continue.

Expectations met

(I gave this 3 stars as there is no other way to comment without offering a judgment about the quality of the contents this book.)I've read much of the many pages that Amazon allows us to read online from this book.This book is written by the same authors as "The Creation of the Universe according to the Bible, Kabbalah, Ancient Egyptians, Gnostics, and Hermetic Texts". You may or may not want to learn this very holy text from authors who draw on non-Jewish sources in their discussions of creation.There is another translation of this text by Menzi and Padeh. You might have a look at it too.

I don't like this translation.The original translation (the book of 2008) is much more understandable and usable.
