This is a very nice set of digital gauges. I mostly work with R134a, but sometimes need to diagnose a old R22 system or a R-410A system, and I have one analog manifold set for each refrigerant type. With this digital set, I can use it for any refrigerant on the market, I just need to buy the end connectors and that's it. Readings are similar to my analog gauges, so accuracy must be good. Instructions are not that clear, but it's no big deal, as anyone using these gauges, should have a basic idea of how they work and will get from there by using them. I like this set and recommend it to anyone starting in the HVAC business as a budget alternative.

I will start this out by saying that I am not an HVAC tech but I have installed and serviced auto and mini-split systems before. I wanted a gauge set that could service both types of refrigerants and this one definitely does that. There are so many options though that it can take a few minutes to scroll through them all. The instructions are very poorly done but for my limited use of this I can make do.Like another reviewer mentioned, the battery door is the weak link on this. I have not broken one yet but the clip does seem very delicate. Oh and did I mention this requires two 9V batteries and none are included? Not a huge deal but something at this price point should come ready to go.I hooked it up and it appears to read properly but I don't have another gauge set to compare numbers. but it seems to be in the right range for my R410A mini split.The one thing I thought was funky, and I don't have a system to test it on it this thing reads % vacuum. Like I said I am not an HVAC tech but I am only familiar with in. hg and micron units for vacuum. Not sure what percentage corresponds to 500 microns that is usually the goal for pulling vacuum.Overall this should serve me well as a home and auto DIY person. I didn't NEED digital but it sure is a lot easier to read than a dial and the plethora of refrigerants it works with hopefully means I will never need one for another refrigerant.

This kit is a good start in the servicing and recharging of air conditioning systems. This consists of the needed hoses and the manifold gauges. These seem to be usable for most of the freon types in use today. You will still need to fnd out why you have lost freon and fix the source of the loss. You will need to evacuate the system with an appropriate vacuum pump. This appears to be a good kit.

I wanted to learn how to charge ac by using gauges as I have only used my automatic machine. These gauges should do the trick.

Yeah its great that you can use this with several types of refrigerants but keep in mind that its not wise to mix and match. I'm just using this set for 410a. I am a licensed tech but I only do small jobs for friends as I have a different professional. I actually used different hoses. The actual digital gauges do seem quite accurate with no leaks noticed after about a dozen uses.

My husband is a hvac technician and does a lot of side work. I saw theses and thought he would love them. I got them and they arrived fast. The guages come in a nice hard plastic case. It comes with everything you need to turn it on and work it. Now he took this on a side job. He said the guages its self is good quality for this brand. The hoses on the other hand stink. You have to add a fighting to get the right size. Makes it a pain. It is easy to read the display.
