The hat is perfectly fine, but the size runs REALLY small. I really expected this hat to fit easily, and then the brim would offer ample shading from the sun. Nope. I have to pull the hat very tight to fit around my head, which I don't consider to be overly large. I'm 5'9" with a proportionally sized head. The snaps work fine, but the hat in general is just really small and doesn't feel or look right on my head. And there's no adjustment either.Beware when buying. It would be great for a child of about 12.

I purchased this for long days of hunting. I wanted to have a round brim hat to assist in keeping the sun off me as much as possible. I live in Texas and it makes a big difference when you can keep out of direct sun light. This hat ran a little big on me, but did help keep the sun off me. I wore it on a June day for about 4 hours.Pros: Round brim keeps sun off face, ears and neck- lightweight- Good color patterns- ComfortableCons:- No cooling assist like moisture wicking- Hat ran a little big- Brim got in the way when looking through rifle scope multiple timesOverall, I do like the hat and will use this multiple times as it will work well, but I'm going to have to snap the side with my dominate eye up so it will not be in the way of my view.

I needed to replace my old worn out Boonie hat so I gave this one a try. I instantly loved it! It fit great and has a wonderful dark blue pattern. The snaps on the side work great, allowing 1 or both sides to rest flush against your head. I wear the large ear muff style hearing protection and am able to slide them over this hat without any problem. During hot days in constant sunlight, this hat provides the right amount of ventilation and shade to keep all of my head cool.The one negative I found is that after just one wash on the gentle cycle, the stitching in the head band is coming loose. It is not a huge issue since I don't keep anything in the head band, and will probably just take it off. Aside from that, the hat is still in perfect condition.

Pretty decent hat for when I’m workin on the weekends, wish the brim was a little bigger to get more shade and a little less flimsy.

This hat is well made and holds a shape pretty well. I like the fact that the sides snap up if you wish. There is no internal sweat band but its constucted with multiple layers in the area with no uncomfortable seams even for my bald head. So far my favorite boonie...just wish I had ordered a tad larger.
