Spa Sensation 12" Theratouch Memory Foam Mattress (King)

This will be rather long, but read it. We have been shopping for a new mattress for several years. Mattress shopping is the worst! Most any mattress feels good for 10 minutes in the store. We have had a wonderful innerspring mattress but it was way past its prime and in desperate need of replacing, but with what?Several years ago we stayed in a fabulous bed and breakfast with our family and it was the most comfortable bed we had ever slept on. We checked the tag at the end of vacation and noted that it was a Tempur-pedic Grand. We looked into those and found they cost $10,000! Nope! We had had a different Tempur-pedic in a vacation home that cost $3500 about 10 years ago which my husband liked but I hated! I would sink into it and felt like I was digging out of a hole to turn over in the night.Last summer, of 2019, we stayed at an Airbnb and again found the mattress to be very, very comfortable. I contacted the owner after our trip about what brand it was, and it was this one! It was a king, like ours, and he had purchased it from walmart.com for $400. Since it was a brand new mattress I was still chicken to bite the bullet, but told our kids about it who quickly bought one shortly after that. (I am always suspicious of reviews of brand new mattresses. Tell me how it feels after some time, please!). Our son and his wife had been sleeping on theirs for a year now and they are not small people, so we slept on theirs overnight a few weeks ago and it was just as comfortable as the one at the Airbnb!That was it! It’s no longer available through Walmart but I thankfully found it here on Amazon, though It cost a bit more here. Compared to the $5000 we were about to lay down on another mattress, we figured we could replace this every few years if we had to for the same cost.We are thrilled! It is supportive with just enough softness to relieve pressure points. We are in our mid 60s, and for you young whippersnappers let me say that we are pretty fit and active, but have the same back, joint issues most people of our age have and you will have someday (or be dead 😊)! We are sleeping better already.Another concern of mine was that a 12” mattress would look squatty compared to our old one, but fully inflated this is 13” thick and looks perfect on our bed.And another thing! No smell whatsoever! We had brought our air purifier into our room and fully anticipated using it for several days before sleeping on it, but that was not necessary. Not sure what that’s all about.I sure hope this helps some of you out there who are struggling with this hard decision. The mattress is very heavy, but once we got it in place and opened, it immediately started expanding. Within 24 hours it was fully expanded. There was no smell. This mattress is firm enough to support but also feels like it cups you wherever you lay. I have been dealing with hip pain on my old Temperpedic mattress and went with this Theratouch to replace it. Only wish I had done it sooner! No more pain.

I cannot believe this didn’t cost more! I recommend this bed to EVERYONE! My husband and I both sleep so good. My mom had one, and when I laid on it I knew I needed it. It’s been about 2 years now and it’s still in perfect condition. It hasn’t caved in on either side and we haven’t had to rotate it at all. We plan on buying my son one when he gets a little older.

I bought this after a year of sleeping in constant pain from nectar. Firm and supportive. After two days I no longer have morning pain from sleeping. I have ra in my back from years of flying helicopters. After a couple of days the back support and a "my pillow" I am sleeping great. Good job.

I needed a firm king size mattress. I unpacked it and let it expand fully for the recommended time before sleeping on it. It seemed fine for the first couple of weeks. But after only 2 months I have a sunken area in the middle where I sleep, my back aches and it's difficult to get out of the bed. I didn't have back aches before buying this mattress. I could stand to lose a few pounds, but I'm not extremely overweight. I am returning it.

After reading the reviews, a few people said that this bed isnt good for people of the....let's say, husky persuasion... I am about 266, and I couldnt be happier. It firm which I didnt know I would like but it's also smooth and feels a bit luxurious to me. I love this mattress and I am going to buy another for my quest bedroom.

This mattress has a horrible odor. I only keep the sheets on it for the weekend and leave it uncovered all week so it can air out. After 2 months of doing this, we can barely sleep on it and we have to get up and shower because our skin stinks. I sent a note to the maker Zinus and they will not allow a return and have no suggestions on getting rid of the smell. DO NOT PURCHASE.

This is my 3rd spa sensation mattress. We love love them. My son had gotten the full size several years ago, we loved it and were jealous so bought ourselves the queen size. Just upgraded ourselves to the king, due to our dog being a bed hog (lol). I don't think I'll ever switch to a different brand. It's firm and solid for my husband, but still soft and comfy for me. It does not retain heat like other memory foam mattresses and the quality of the covering is beautiful. No regrets buying this mattress with any of my 3.
