Installed yesterday!I did my research and really wanted to find the right dual gate electric openers for my needs. I looked at several (far more expensive) brands and read up on which were going to be up to the job and I read lots of sales pitches and watched many YouTube videos etc. I was aware that the 2m x 1.8m (2) metal gates I brought were going to require something heavy duty to cope with both the weight and the 'sail effect' of large gates without slots or rails (ie my gates are solid).I emailed the Topens technical team and asked for a recommendation and they were prompt and caring with their advise. They asked me a few questions about the installation and then they suggested the 1202 model electric closers I brought. I liked all the extra accessories that were available and the feedback about the user experience and great support for when things go wrong.Setting up the closers isn't a tough job, but its important to make sure you read the instructions prior to fixing gate posts and laying block paving (as in my case)....I was able to lay in the ground suitable ducting with draw cables and thus making sure that I could conceal as many cables as I required.The benefit of a low voltage set up (24v) is that its only mains power that comes into the control box and from there all the extra cables are low voltage and easy to pass through pre laid ducting etc. I ended up having to buy some extra multi core cable as the amount supplied wasn't enough to reach from my wall mounted control box to the 2 gate posts where my electric closers were mounted (my gates are 4 metres wide).BTW - you only require to run a multi core cable to the 2 closers (2 in my case) then a 2 core cable to the safety sensors (you can have 2 or 4 of these) - a 2 core cable to the flashing beacon (we installed this on the top of one of our gate posts)...plus any extra accessories you wish to fit (electric locking gate for example)The control box is completely sufficient to pass all the required cables into and connect up with ease (some installers have mentioned the need for a larger box etc?) - I screwed my control box to a brick wall and used a bead of mastic to seal the gaps around the wall to ensure complete water tightness.Just be aware that if you are installing a 4m wide gate and the control box is positioned more than 1m away from the first gate post...you will require a longer 'main' multi core cable which runs from the furthest away electric closer to the cable box (I hope that makes sense?).Be very very careful that prior to mounting up the closers on the supplied mounting brackets, you have read and understood the geometry required to allow these gates to work within the stated parameters. If you don't pay attention to the dimensions required for the closers to work effectively....then you will find yourself having the move/remount the brackets that hold the electric closers in place. I made this mistake and the installation time took an extra hour or so to remedy my mistake (I ended up with extra unwanted holes and have had to cover up these holes with grommets and mastic!....silly boy. You have been warned!The motors work perfectly smoothly and they are certainly low noise, the operation of the gates have adjustment (ie can close faster) - but we have left the default settings and these settings work very well for us. You may find just 2 remotes not enough, you may be tempted to fit an electronic door lock if you have lathe gates that are blown inwards by high winds (we may do this...time will tell).All in all I have saved a fortune to what an automatic gate installation company wanted to charge me and I am happy to the quality of the product, the look of the product and the support available from Topens. I was able to self-install these closers in less than a day and I think I could the work in half the time if I installed another setI am happy to recommend these 1202 electric gate swing closers and I have only just installed them...but I am very confident that the excellent support I have witnessed from Topens will help me should I run into any difficulties.

I purchased the slightly bigger gate openers as the difference in price was not significant. They work really well and add a touch of class to the gates (and stop the dog running off).They were really easy to install. I found the instructions clear and the installation video on the Topens site was really good and well presented. It even had a tip about inverting the ram to make the adjustments to the stop points which made the exercise a lot easier.I had a problem where I broke the photo sensor by mistake. I emailed the Topens helpdesk and the issue was resolved in double quick time. A new sensor was shipped out within 24 hours and was free of charge. This is some of the most efficient customer service I have had in a long time.I would definitely recommend Topens on this alone.

The AT1202 swing gate opener works really well, I purchased early June 24, and fitted it within a week, I would say you need to be a confident at DIY to install. Worked really well right from the outset, also bought a wi-fi remote so control it from the phone, also set it up so when the phone arrives at home the gates automatically open.Had a problem recently with one of the gates not fully opening, contacted customer support and they helped me resolve the issue within hours, turned out to be one of the hinges binding at the nearly open position.I was surprised at the excellent response I got from the Topens customer support, rare to get this sort of service these days.

I needed to replace a pair of defective gate closers that had never worked since we moved into our home.The different options on offer and accessories available were what swayed me to TOPENS. Also the value for money compared to other manufacturers available.I wasn’t exactly certain what model to go for and had a few other queries.So I contacted the TOPENS customer service team and they were extremely quick to respond and answered all my questions.I purchased the AT1202 gate kit and installed it myself. The instructions and video installation instructions were very comprehensive. Do spend time working out your initial measurements and ensuring that the gates will open the required distance before making you final fixings.I also wanted the option to be able to operate my gates from my mobile phone. I sent a question to the service team, who once again came back to me quickly with a solution. They said that TOPENS did a Wi-Fi module but that it wasn’t yet available in the UK. I was pleasantly surprised for them to recommend an alternative Wi-Fi switch that was compatible and also cheaper. This I purchased and installed and can say that it works flawlessly. A special thank you to Joyce for all your assistance, registering my warranty and also being my dedicated customer assistant, should I have any further questions or concerns.I have had the TOPENS installed for 3 months now and they have worked without issue.I would certainly recommend TOPENS if you are thinking of automating your gates.

Really good quality and work very well easy to diy fit, had to contact the support team for some set up and they were very helpful and resolved straight away.

This product is very temperamental and challenging to install….its installed, working for now but not great quality

This is the second time I've bought a product from Topens after previously buying a garage door opener.The simple instructions and installation process makes it possible for a DIYer to fit them.On this occasion I needed to contact customer service for an issue I created for myself however within hours the email had been answered and a link to a video to solve the problem.As others have said, you feel more confident buying a product that is backed by a helpful and fast responding customer service.Pete.
