This diary is bigger than I expected which is great because I write often. It came in one day and it looks amazing. I also like the pen and I'm glad I ordered this diary in my favorite color.

A gift to granddaughter

This is a pretty little diary set for my teenage granddaughter. It feels like a quality set and not just a cheap little notebook. The ink in the pen flows well and doesn't skip. I'm not sure what the little slits on the inside front cover could be used for. The only thing I could think of was business card but there's no need for them in a journal. There are ribbons attached inside to mark your page but they don't match the color of the journal. The design on the front is pretty but I'm not sure what the words mean and why they're there. The lock is also pretty and really adds to the style of this journal but it's a little awkward to use. When unlocked, the clasp is hard to get off the journal because it's so small. Otherwise this is a nice diary set. If priced about $3 less I would think it a better deal.

This diary is beautiful!!! The color is gorgeous and the quality is amazing! The lock functions well for now so hopefully I stands the test of time! The pages are easy to work with and it is the perfect size!!!

I got this for therapy because it had a lock. I had alot of issues as a child with parents and siblings reading my diary, and it kind of put me off. Alot of little kid diaries/journals have the jankiest locks ever.This journal is not only cute, but it actually has a sturdy lock. Its not as legit as a luggage lock id say, but its pretty good. My only gripe is that it is a little difficult due to the way the little latch loop of the journal is to get the lock in and out. But other than that, you'd probably need bolt cutters to open the lock without the key, It did only come with one key, so don't lose it. It came with a pen, and its actually surprisingly smooth. The pen does fall out of the pen loop on the side of the journal, but I just use a rubber band to secure the pen. The pages are nice and overall, I really like this journal. I would recommend this.

Such a lovely old-fashioned diary! It comes with a little chained key and a pen with a huge diamond tip. The notebook inside is thicker/more pages than it looks on its Amazon product photos. Which is a very good thing, according to my preteen daughter. She has loads of things she wants to write about. She likes the thick quality of each page too and how the date labels on top of each one. It's a well thought-of and consistent design for a diary. Makes a great gift for preteens like my daughter and older ones as well.Especially recommended.

but buy two because you will want one for yourself. When I was growing up every year my mother bought me one of those little diaries with the little gold key. I still have some of them and laugh every time I read things I wrote when I was 7 or 8 years old. This one reminds me of those only it's even better -- it's a little bigger, the color of the cover is prettier and it's just ideal. It's a great gift idea for a teen just starting to want to keep their thoughts up to an adult journaler because of how it looks. And it's the ideal size to carry in your purse to jot down your thoughts as you go through the day.
