I work in the office for a garbage company and we have a problem with gnats in the office. I tried to plug it up on my desk to keep the gnats out of my food. The noise is absolutely obnoxious. It's a high pitch white noise. (I thought it wasn't supposed to be audible to humans). And by the way. Even with it on my desk, the gnats were still flying over my food.

Making royal icing

I am a casual baker and was always one to just buy brand name big box store meringue powder for my royally iced sugar cookies. With the holidays coming I wanted to start experimenting with new dough and icing favors. Cookies came out great but the few icing batches I made came out sour-ish. After making many previous icing batches throughout the years, I figured the company had changed their meringue powder recipe.I had always heard great things about Genie’s Dream so I figured I’d try it. I used the recipe on the lid and added my own extracts. It called for way more meringue powder than I would typically use but the flavor was nice and so was the texture, easy to thin and tint without compromising flavor. Family and friends complimented the softness of the icing, it hardened and packaged well but was still soft to the bite. Although I do wish the price was a bit more pocket friendly, this will be my meringue powder going forward.

Love this meringue just wish it wasn’t so expensive. You get what you pay for though!

Granted, I'm fairly new at decorating cookies. I had used a different meringue powder and always struggled with my icing. I just tried this for the first time and it was amazing. There is a recipe for icing on top of the container, so I decided to try it and I am so glad I did! The icing was light and fluffy, and I could easily mix to get it to the different consistencies I wanted for flooding and detail. For the first time ever, I was able to get the right consistency for piping letters! I piped some writing that I wasn't embarrassed to show, even received compliments on them. I was able to print and do cursive as well. If you are on the fence, give it a go. I think you'll be happy with it.

This is a fantastic product but is very expensive to use. It is watered down from what it used to be so it washes away easier in the rain and must be reapplied more often then the old thicker version. I still think its the best slug killer out there so if you have expensive hostas like I do this is the product you need. None of the other pellets compare and it is much less messy because the slugs crawl away and die out of sight. Its just too expensive.
