Brillante Nesting Pads for Chicken Nest Boxes 10 Pack of Natural Aspen Excelsior Liners for Poultry, Birds and Pets

Wow was I pleasantly surprised with these. I was using grass clippings and the chickens were fine with that. However i needed something for winter. I though these would have to be swapped out every month so I figured they would be too pricey for regular use. Wrong! I put them in and have just had to pull them out monthly to shake them out, or rinse them if needed, while I cleaned the boxes. These last a good long time, and the chickens love them too. My only complaint is they come stuck to a paper backing. I did not want the waxy paper in my boxes so it took me about 20 minutes to peel it off, and in the process I lost a fair amount of the padding. Still had plenty left for 9 12"x12' boxes though.

I really like that they are not “pushed aside” like shavings can be. Prevents the eggs from being laid on wooden floor of nesting boxes. Also the weave allows for ventilation. Not sure if the ‘girls’ are thrilled, but I’m not willing to run a scientific test to see what nesting materials they prefer because this one does last longer, stays cleaner, looks nicer too!

Hey I want to update: after my 1 star review the Seller sent me a adjusted refund! I was not expecting that all. I changed my previous review from 1 star to 5 djust because of their great customer service! Will definitely buy again from this Seller. Not the nesting pads though as our chickens didn’t care for them. Put this in the nests thinking chickens would enjoy a bit more insulation for laying. Our chickens would pull this out of the nests. Total waste of money.

Excellent nesting box pads. Unlike the "name-brand" pads, these have a nice thick layer of shavings that fluffs up into a proper nest.A little more expensive, a little longer wait in shipping, but much better product.

I really like these. The hens aren't totally convinced yet though. The first time I put them in, they lasted less than a day - the hens tore them out of the nests. I thought I would give it one more try. The second time has lasted a little longer. They do tend to pick at them but didn't totally destroy them so quickly. Hopefully they will get better about leaving them alone. I do think they keep the eggs cleaner and cushion the nest nicely.

Great product, I bought these to replace the wood shavings that are really messy. Each pad expands and makes a nice cushion for my hends to lay on. My eggs are looking cleaner with no pieces of pine shaving stuck to the egg like before.

This is the type of nesting I've used a year now and my hens LOVE them(3 eggs a day). KNOCK THEM OUT in the morning before egg-time!!!, and they last forever. Very quick with the delivery!

Really nice alternative to what I was using in the past. I would purchases again. My girls don't seem to mind it too much.
