The Shady Monkey Heavy Duty Dock & Deck Patio Umbrella Holder

This was bigger and stronger than I thought it would be and easy to install. The center pipe is long enough to support a umbrella post. The only issue I had was I had a small screw left over and I can't figure it out.it may be used if I used it as a flag pole holder. I looked around at different sites and I couldn't find anything like this, although pricey it was worth it.

NO STARS!Picture shows the screws/bolts. The shipping box has the small box the bolts should have been in but it is EMPTY!Looks like most people really like this and is sturdy. Wish I was one of those people who actually received the complete setup. 😡

It's a great product but keep in mind your umbrella pole needs to have a hole going thru at the bottom so the pin can go thru for better support. The product didn't work for out needs but if we were placing it in a different location, this would have been perfect. Great concept and design.

The holder is just ok and is useable only after you add some diy creativity. When the product description says "Holds umbrellas or flag poles with a pole diameter of up to 1 3/4"", it really means the holder opening is really only one size, 1-3/4"! If you put a standard 1-1/2" umbrella intothe holder, you end up with a gap of 1/8" around the entire outside circumference of the umbrella pole and the holder. And there is nothing to tighten the umbrella pole to the holder. That leads to a wobbly umbrella! I made it work by cutting up some extra vinyl blind slats and pounding 3 pieces into the gap as shown in my photo, it's tight enough now and the wobbling is negligible. I'll probably clean it up some by cutting the extra slats that is still sticking out of the gap.

I was tired of having a moveable and undersized weighted umbrella stand on my deck at our vacation home at Lake of the Ozarks so when I saw this product I immediately jumped on it as comparable deck mounted umbrella stands are almost twice the price. My uncle ended up installing the stand on our deck when he and his wife went down and they LOVE IT! They love it SO MUCH we need to get a second one so we can either move the umbrella to the other side of the deck or have two umbrellas up to shade the deck on these extremely hot & humid summer days.This product is also giving me ideas for when I put a new deck on my home, instead of a pergola I may just buy a few of these and some well built patio umbrellas to shade it.We've had it installed a few days at the lake and no complaints at all on installation. We mounted it to our seamless PVC decking in no time and have a 6ft tilt umbrella attached.

Looks like a good umbrella stand, but there weren’t any screws included. Looks like it might have been returned by someone else.......🙁👎

Very nice, heavy duty...yes you will have to put some holes in your deck to mount, but once mounted neither the holder nor your umbrella are going anywhere. I highly recommend this!
