Pleasantly surprised.
Until recently, I have been using Foscam cameras exclusively. With the coming of their sell-off, I have decided to look at other options. This little camera really surprised me; it has good images in the day time, works well, and was fairly easy to set up.(I use Blue Iris, and did not mess with their "Application" they reference in the instructions.)If you understand IP cameras, it's fairly easy to configure.Best of all is that they are 1/2 price. But make no mistake... these are NOT forensically correct cameras. They are 2MP at 720p, but captured images are not quite there for facial recognition. Also, and this is my primary complaint, is that night-vision image quality is MUCH lower, with grainy resolution.Overall, it's a decent little camera considering what you pay for it.

Had Potential But POE does not comply with POE standards
Good picture with wide field of view, but POE function does not work. I was only able to get it working one time while getting ready to set it all up, then it just wouldn't work again. Still works fine with 12V. Tested with two known good POE injectors.Seems to do OK in the weather. Night vision is OK with decent IR output.EDIT: Poor seller response lost another star. And another for continuing their lie about POE compatibility. STAY AWAY FROM THIS JUNK! If the manufacturer doesn't even understand POE standards, I don't trust them to do anything else very well. Too late to return, and the seller offered no solution to the lack of proper POE support other than obvious ignorance on how it works.

Video and view angle is good but not much else is.
The video and view angle this camera puts out is good but connecting to it from 2 different NVR systems does not work. The RTSP stream and Onvif does not work even though there are settings for that config in the web portal on the camera. The web page to display the video from camera either via chrome, firefox, IE, safari does not work with the correct plugin installed. The only way to view the video from this camera is via the mobile app which does not support multiple viewing if you have 2 or more cameras connected. You would have to select camera 1 and view it full screen then close that camera and select camera 2 and view that full screen. Very poorly designed app for security and camera viewing. The price is low for a camera that supports power over Ethernet (POE) which is great but for a few more dollars I would suggest getting something else.

Easy to Use + Good Quality
This was easy enough to just plug in and get it working. I was worried that I'd need help getting set-up, so I'm happy that wasn't the case. The picture quality is good as well.

I fixeed the problem of it Never staying connected and always resetting.
I really liked these cameras when I got them but I should of waited until I installed them before feeling so good. I would soon find out that there was major flaw in the response of these cameras. I totally hated these things. I have returned some and decided to try and work with the supplier as to figure out why they will not connect. I have figured it out. These camera's are GREAT, when you install a Y adapter! Some of the cameras will come on but are just not getting enough juice to respond or connect and stay connected by just using the RJ45 Cat5e connection. I started to believe that they were just no good until, I decided to run a few tests. Too make a long story short, you just need to buy a Y adapter to join the power and network connection together and then you still have to plug in a P.O.E. switch to power them. By joining these two connections together through the Y adapter, your cameras will work and they will work better than before and will respond much faster as the internal chip needs the extra power. Now, the camera shouldn't need it and some of them seem to connect without it but sometimes you might have a weaker cable or you P.O.E. is just not up to par. The way to solve all those problems is it ad the Y adapter. It will costs you more but other than that, there is a lot of really good programs out there that will work great with these cameras. I would choose the "ispy" program for a newbie but if you really want some features, you can't go wrong with "Blue Iris 4"! Good luck and I hope that this information could help you with your choice. This camera works like a $200 for only $40 plus the price of a Y adapter which is about $9; depending on which one you buy. Well worth the price!

Not bad at all.
Can't beat the price. The picture is clear, high resolution, and it works well with my Amcrest network video recorder. The casing is metal and it seems very durable.

ZERO stars if I could. Boat Anchor.
Returning. Very annoyed with this thing. Pictures in manual do not match camera (no reset button on cable), When I load software I am never prompted to open an account with HD Smartview app (but didn't think one was needed anyway), When I scan the label camera is found but that's all it does. App never moves to add anything that allows to active any function or to internal camera firmware. Attached on POE and tried to access camera via IP add listed n manual... no response in browser. I can't even tell if camera is on but I think it is. Generally a boat anchor. No way of configuring, no way to get to camera through browser, no way to do anything.
