Treehouse Living: 50 Innovative Designs Hardcover – April 1, 2008

Beautiful book with good information as well as ideas for treehouses that are for families and grown ups. I would reccomend it to anyone who loves and fantasizes about treehouses.

Bought this for my nephew as they are building a new home int the country. He and his Dad are now looking into building one of the houses in the book.

this wonderful book of pictures of tree houses just made me emote my treehouse ... someday i will have my own.

all the treehouses in this book are very well built but there re all from a same company that actually made the book.so that means that there are all very similar in the way there are made witch makes it no so interesting.with a title like that you expect to see some diversity at least.It s bassically a compilation of rich people that had there treehouse built by this companie.Not much you can use if you are a someone with a limited credit and wants to do it on your own.

I was expecting a slightly used book, but I think this copy is next to BRAND NEW!!! Thank you so much!!!!

The photographs here are wonderful however the designs are somewhat mediocre and since they are all designs from the same design team there is a sameness to them all. I find more organic designs interesting. These designs are all square boxes up in an tree. No curves or interesting shapes. Some of the stair cases are out of this world though.Like one of the other reviewers I noted the attachment method of the treehouses to the trees. It appears to be a steel band that circles the tree. I would be very concerned about this being damaging to the tree in the long term. Maybe they have taked this into account. I don't know.

This is a beautiful book which serves as a portfolio for one company's vision and execution of treehouses. If you are an experienced builder there is much you can learn from but there are no step-by-step instructions and little in the way of technical explanations. You learn by seeing, and there is much to see in this book. If you know what you are looking at you will find the highest level of the craft presented here. If you need to know how they got to that point, there are other books that will suit you better. This book would be equally well-suited to someone who has no intention of building a treehouse; someone who simply admires beautiful things, like art.
