Incredible End Result
This was definitely one of the more challenging builds I've done so far. The starting layers of the coliseum were intricate and tricky but once they locked together the rest was a piece of cake. There were of course, the typical few bricks that were manufacturing blunders but you have so many extra pieces you barely notice. Anyone looking for a challenge with a calming repetitive finish will not be disappointed.

Very difficult way to Start building
Right off the bat, I knew this build was going to be a problem, first you have to lay down a layer of black bricks of various sizes, then you have to lay down a layer of Grey blocks and to tell you the truth, I didn’t have the patience to keep all the various black blocks in line.My suggestion is changing the base to either 4 plates or two, then you can easily place the grey blocks without much hassle.

Nice Model
Beware this is a difficult model to put together. The pieces are very small and tend to get lost easily if dropped. The instructions are difficult to understand. Having said that, all the pieces were there with some extra 40 pieces. My recommendation is you do it over a carpeted floor because you will drop many of these pieces and don't want them to scatter. You will also need a tweezer to fit in the smaller pieces. The end product is worth the money.

Flimsy and poorly engineered.
I have a great deal of experience building microbrick models, and found the Colliseum poorly engineered, bricks not consistent in molding, either too tight or too loose, and underlying support inadequate or non-existent. I spent as much time rebuilding parts that collapsed as I added layers, as for the basic construction itself. The end product was attractive, but now that it's on my shelf I don't plan to ever move it again.I've built other models from this manufacturer without serious issues. Very disappointed with this one.
