The Bean Coffee Company Organic Decaf Unroasted Green Coffee Beans, 16-Ounce

The beans appear to be roasted, upon opening the bag. THEY ARE MICRO ROASTED FOR FRESHNESS. This was clearly stated on the back of the package! The beans are a tanish brownish dehydrated looking color straight out of the bag. Please roast the beans in your usual manner. They will crack. The coffee has a light smooth flavor when brewed. I love the coffee. Please give it a chance and look past the way the beans look in the bag. AGAIN......THE BEANS NEED TO BE ROASTED! I state this rather emphatically because I read a couple previous reviews complaining about them not being unroasted beans and how awful the coffee was when brewed. Read the back of the bag. Give this wonderful coffee a chance.

As the title says... it has zero resemblance of coffee regardless of the roast level. Buy from SWEET MARIA'S. It actually smells and tastes like real coffee after you roast it. I would recommend the Mexico Chiapas if it's available.

Overall nice roasting coffee! I don't drink decaf but my mom does and that's who I made it for.She likes it and so did the rest of us. Even kids drank it without creamer!

These came slightly pre-roasted and unfortunately the bag doesn't give you the amount of time that it was roasted. I when roasting was unsure whether it reached the first crack or 2nd since the first could have been done alreadyThe coffee flavor was good though

I don't like decaf, but this had a nice smoothness to it. As with all decaff, roasting by sight can be difficult because it looks much darker than regular coffee. But roasting it to just past the first crack made a very smooth cup.

Been roasting coffee beans for nearly 10 years. I have tried decaf green coffee beans from different companies, beans from different regions. First of all, being organic appeals to me on the basis of good health. Second, these green beans are actually GREEN! Other decaf green beans I have purchased were brownish, as if they were partially roasted. I always buy the Swiss water processed variety, so that wouldn't account for the discoloration. Third, this is a GREAT tasting coffee. Roasted it to a full city+ level, and got a lot of deep bean flavor. Great after taste as well. Most people would not know this is a decaf coffee. My wife is my biggest critic, and she loves it! And she KNOWS good coffee! In a coffee shop, roasted, this would go for at least $16/pound, so this is a good value. I recommend it highly.

They put a label on the bag to cover the bag's product description. The beans are not green and they are roasted. Feel like cheated

I was expecting to see roasted decaf beans, but these are actually not roasted at all. So I searched Internet and found out that you can roast them at home. I just used my natural gas oven for this. The result was not bad at all. Some beans were more roasted then the others, so the flavor of the coffee was very unusual. I liked it, but next time I'll probably buy beans that are already roasted.
