Impressed. I wasn't expecting much; just wanted quick give-away safety box cutters rather than losing another box cutter or not having one returned. But I might end-up using these myself, instead of more expensive safety box cutters.The XW Handy Safety Box Cutters are sturdy. (Powder-coated) Metal outer sheath, plastic inner sheath which holds a standard single-edged razor blade, and a spring. Emphasis: Both the blade and spring are standard and replaceable. Even if the plastic hinge on the fold-over blade holder were to break, you could still reassemble and it would be usable. Taking it apart to flip or replace the blade (or spring) is quick and easy, but it won't come apart on its own without some effort.At 4.25 inches long (110mm), it fits comfortably in my hand. I'm accustomed to traditional box cutters with a push-button to slide the blade out -- Adapting to this recessed thumb slide was quick and comfortable and didn't feel unsafe (tested on several boxes; tape seams, across thick corrugated and over folded sections). The ridges on the thumb slide are prominent enough to accept some gunk build-up before needing to be cleaned. Another significant point: You can take this thing apart quickly and easily (but will not come apart on its own without effort), scrub and clean it good, and put it back together no problem. Cheap to replace if/when damaged beyond repair.The blade might stick out just a little bit too far to do shallow cuts in thin cardboard to the plastic hilt, so caution is advised opening sensitive packages or those with thin-walled corrugated. There's enough torsion sliding the blade out to have a degree of control over blade depth.Finally, the fact that the blade auto-retracts, and the simplicity of the device and retraction mechanism (just a replaceable spring) makes this a new favorite tool for working with corrugated in a fast paced industrial environment.Even if the plastic hinge which folds-over to secure the blade were to break, you could still put it back together and use it again. If the hitch for either side of the spring were to break, you could punch a hole in the plastic or whittle a new spring loop holder. Even if broken, can be repaired in a pinch if replacements aren't available.Ten out of Ten stars. 10/10 for the XW Handy Safety Box Cutters

These are just what I wanted! The spring action makes it easy to slice boxes open at work and not worry about closing it so I can toss it in my vest pocket and never get cut. Also, it takes a regular razor inside, so it's cheap and easy to swap out when it finally gets dull. Even gave some of them to co-workers and they love it too

I like them for my staff sometimes they can be carless and cut them self with a real box cutterthis will stop that I hope

I love the metal housing as it gives a little weight to the knife. Anyone that stocks products knows you are pulling it out of your pocket hundreds of times a day. The lighter plastic ones don’t feel solid in my hands so this weight is perfect. If there is one thing that I could change, it would be to add a place for a spare blade however, you can turn the existing blade around if you break the tip off and not lose time going to get a new blade so it works out well.

I broke the spring in the last of my ox cutters from the u brand and new manager didn't want to spend the money on the safety cutters so I had to buy my own. These are a third of the price and work just as well, plus they look nicer. The only downside is the blades they come with are a easier to snap the tip off of that the u branded blades but hey, they have two ends.

Worked as intended. The ten pack came in real handy in the warehouse. Very lightweight, retractable safety knife.

These are great, I get tired of all the new gadgets and cheap cutting knifes. Of course you’ll need heavy duty knife for construction jobs but everything else, these are the best simplest tools I have everywhere
