It's cute the closure isn't very effective
It's super cute which is why I thought I wouldn't mind if it didn't have insulation or a proper closure. I mean, thats what an ice pack is for right? The ice pack did keep my food cold for about 5 hrs till lunch, which was all I needed. I could tell the food wasn't as cold as when I first put it in, but it was perfectly fine still. The string to tie the bag closed was what got me. If you tie it in a bow, it can easily come undone due to the thickness of the string. Also, you can't roll the bag down as far as you need if you packed a small lunch because the string is attached further up the bag. Just some things to keep in mind.

Not waterproof.
Not waterproof. I bought this bag and loved it. But the canvas just feels like heavy duty canvas, it doesn't feel waxed. Then I had a pear that got dented by my other container in the bag, and the pear juice leaked through the canvas. This shouldn't have happened if it was really waxed. And this was just a smashed pear. A leaky Tupperware of soup would have been a disaster.
