i reviewed so many of the handmade copper pitchers and most were 90% 5 stars-10% 1 star for leaking handles and tarnishing issues. i chose this one because i like the hammered design, and since it was a prime item i could return if any problems. the actual pitcher is beautiful, heavy copper with well fitting lid and pours perfectly. i was concerned with how the handle is attached-rivets, not welded-so the first night i filled it and placed it into a large bowl, just in case it leaked. it didn't leak so that was great! the tumblers are also beautifully made and serve the intended purpose. for tarnishing and discoloration issues, it is what is expected with pure unfinished copper. that's why you buy this type of vessel-to get the health benefit of water that has been stored in copper. i did a lot of research on it before this purchase and found that copper for this use is easy to take care of with just a little effort. look on youtube-there is a wealth of information about caring for your copper vessel. this also has the added benefit that you are a part of the process-by handling and caring for the vessel you become even more a part of any healing you will receive! i expect to get an abundant supply of mineral infused water from my lovely copper vessel!

I hesitated to buy this at first due to concerns about its authenticity, but I can confirm it's genuine copper. I've been using copper since I was a kid so I can tell this is real cooper and I have had no issues with this item after one month of use. Just remember to clean it weekly using lemon and salt, or a copper cleaning product like Pitambari.

As per Ayurveda water has medicinal property if stored overnight in copper vessel and then consumed. I believe in Ayurvedic thoughts so I bought one. After about 3 months of usage, I can confidently say its genuine copper. The reason is I can see the bottom of vessel turns black if it is not cleaned which is one of the sign of good quality copper vessel(and many reviewers pointed it as negative). The blackening is due to copper's reaction with water forming "copper sulphide or copper oxide".To prevent blackening of bottom clean it every week with lemon and dish liquid.

I bought this as Ayurveda recommended using copper vessels to store water and drink. Started using this now that 2 weeks of use. Size is enough for a family to drink out of the 2 extra cups are nice. Wish they sold cups separately too to make a set of 4 to 6. I pour filtered water and leave overnight and drink in the morning. Reminds me of the taste of copper pot we used to drink out of. I was a bit nervy of the spot welds on top of the handle. But they have stood up to the challenge thus far.Overall great product. Nice decorative hammered effect also adds surface area for copper ions. Will buy again possibly as gifts for my friends and family.

Cheap , copper coated cups . Used once and already bottom of cup is flaking..Same with pitcher only less flaking but still flaking..Waste of money .
