What is happening?
I bought this chair with the hopes of it helping me sit comfortably with 2 buldging discs ( L4,L5). Not sure why this is happening all of a sudden, I have deflated the half dome ball and re inflated then sat on it and there is the picture. I’m not severely overweight to cause that on my he ball… can someone please assist me?Second picture is of the chair filled with air again.

Been 3 months…
So far, so good - as long as I remember it is not like a regular exercise ball chair. There is no bounce to this and it took some adjusting to get the firmness not to make my butt hurt, but it is great now. Hip pain I had from previous chair is gone.

Keeps Breaking…love the seat though..
Why did you pick this product vs others?:These chairs look great and its the third one I’ve had to get because it has broken every time..And I don’t even sit in it! I stand most the time and use it on occasions..I really love the seat. I just don’t like the fact that it keeps breaking.

Great for 2 Years now wont hold air.
I have had this stool for 3 years at my daily 8-4 office job. I am ADHD and health conscious and wanted an alternative to a desk chair but I also needed to switch from a traditional exercise ball as they aren't as conducive to wearing certain workwear (dresses and skirts). I LOVED this stool but for the last 6 months, it will not stay inflated. Last year I noticed a few tiny holes leaking air, likely from repeated use, and small rivets on pant pockets and zippers on the backs of skirts/dresses rubbing on the rubber day after day. I super glued the tiny holes I could find and that helped for a few months, but now I am having to reinflate every morning when I get to the office. I am torn between buying this stool again or going to a different brand/model to see if something else lasts longer. I do think 3 years is a pretty good run for daily use but not sure I want to spend the money again knowing the same thing will probably happen to the next one!

Only stool that doesn't give me back pain!
This is the only stool I can sit in without back pain. You can inflate it as much as you want to - inflate it less for a more cushy feel, inflate more for a more "bouncy" feel. Either way, it works on your dynamic sitting balance, makes you naturally sit with good posture, and, at least for me, really helps with back pain. I'm in healthcare and sit often to document/work with patients. This stool is a game changer in my weekly work routine.

Extremely Disappointed
I had an original Gaiam balance ball chair for 10+ years and only had to replace the ball once. I used it daily for a job working 40-60 hrs/wk. Only just recently had a leg crack and would no longer hold the wheel. Still works great as a stationary chair though. Ball still in great condition. When I was shopping for a replacement chair for work, I was so excited about this. All the benefits of the ball chair I loved, from a brand I trusted, but I was also able to adjust the height to accommodate my sit-stand desk. So much more flexibility. Unfortunately, less than13 months after I purchased it, the chair split right along the base and will no longer hold air. I tried a patch designed for boats on the first split, but it just split again a couple inches from the original. Absolutely frustrated with the quality. Unlike my other chair, I can't just replace that part. Because I bought through Amazon instead of directly from Gaiam, I have no recourse with Gaiam. I do not recommend this product.

Exactly what I wanted! I thought.
I’ve wanted this stool for several years after using the ball style chair for over a decade. I lucked into catching it while it was briefly in stock. I use both this and the ball chair in my alterations shop. Most chairs designed to be sat on for 8+ hours are not suitable for using at a sewing machine. This is the perfect seat for me. I’m keeping an eye on the listing so I can pick up another for my home sewing space. 🙂Edit after bringing it home and using for about 8 months a few hours a week: If you have cats with claws, either add a padded cover, or make sure they can never jump up on this. I made the mistake of forgetting to tuck it under my sewing table and came back to a small slit on the top. After attempting to fix the small tear with flex seal tape, it held air for about 3 hours and began to deflate again. When I removed the tape the tear was twice as big. 😢Since the seats aren’t available by themselves anywhere, I ended up adding a foam seat and and fabric cover. I won’t invest in another one even though the price came back down from the jacked up price when everyone started working from home. I think at one point it went up to $129 😕
