Great Little Cam
This is a great little camera. It didn't get 5 stars because I've adopted the policy of deducting one star if the seller provides a product manual written in "Chinglish" and these folks REALLY need to hire someone who speaks English (although I will admit that some of the instructions are hilarious - suitable for reading aloud).Had a little trouble setting it up but it only took 15 minutes or so. The image (and the photos) are razor sharp. The microphone that turns on when you hit Monitor is very sensitive - keep the phone volume down or passing cars sound like jets taking off. Something not mentioned in the manual: If you have the Cam Type set to vertical, use your fingers to expand the fish eye image and the image becomes "normal", then brush it with your finger to one side or the other and the field of view begins to swing back and forth - like a cam on a swivel. Pretty neat. Poke it again and it stops. Thanks to the strangely written manual, I found it easier to just play around with the cam to discover different featuresAs stated in the listing, you need to plug this in somewhere as there is no battery. And, as near as I can tell, there's no way to view the cam when away from home (although I haven't worked with my router settings yet).For the money, I don't see how you can beat it. I'd recommend this cam.

Phones home.
Couldn't make this work with sufficient security. It makes regular attempt to contact several servers in China, and also attempts to contact DNS servers that it is not configured with. Not recommended for anyone without expert level security skills and sophisticated networking.

Highly questionable quality, won't stay connected to wifi, now it won't even turn on period.
I bought this early August. I set it up a week or two after that and it seemed to work OK. I was able to observe the live feed from my phone. It wasn't all that clear, but I figured over streaming, perhaps the resolution wouldn't be as good. So, I ordered a data card so I could insert it in the camera and record. The resolution on that would probably be better.Well, fast forward a few weeks... I realized after the first day, it would keep kicking the camera off the network. Each morning for 3 straight days I would come in to work, reset the camera, it would work all day and about half way through the night, and then in the morning I'd wake up and it would be gone. I couldn't access it from my phone. I emailed the company and they said I had to call some Chinese number overnight (when it was working hours their time) to troubleshoot. No way was I doing that.So, back to the data card. I inserted that a few weeks ago. Today I went to remove it to see if I could at least capture video even though the camera wasn't hooked up to wifi. Well, two things. 1) I couldnt get the card out and 2) Now the camera won't even power on. I'm not sure when that stopped working because I haven't checked it in a few weeks.Worst part, I don't even see an option to return it or get a refund. Buyer beware.

Worst electronic/computer item I have ever purchased
Worst electronic/computer item I have ever purchased! I'm glad this worked out so well for others. For me, this was an 8 hour adventure in internet router Hell. It's marketed as easy to install. WRONG! It kept saying my router password was incorrect. I know what my password is and it's correct. This thing is either going back to Amazon, or being run over by my car. Haven't decided which.Unless you have a degree in network administration, I'd skip this one.

Not an Outdoor Camera
False advertising because this product is not an outdoor camera. It has to be plugged in the whole time it is in use which is not functional outdoors.
