Allen Company Recoil Eraser - Slip-On Shooting Recoil Pad - Shotgun and Rifle Accessories - Black - Small/Medium

I bought this to increase the LOP for my Savage Mark II FV .22 bolt action. I took the plastic butt plate off before installing the recoil pad (size small), the fit is perfect, and it increased the LOP by just over .25". If the butt plate was left on, it would increase the LOP by a little over .5". For my rifle, no modification was needed, it fits snug and right up against the sling/bipod stud, like it was made for this rifle. I imagine the fit would be similar for most standard polymer straight stocks. Can't comment on its ability to effectively reduce recoil, but it feels very similar to the excellent recoil pad on my CVA Scout. Seems to be a good product for a good price. Probably no need to spend more $$ on the 'other' brand.

TL;DRThis is an excellent pad that does its job.Slipped it right on to my mosin, but not easily enough that it could come off without intentionally removing it.I bought this before I had even fired my Mosin Nagant 91/30 after reading stories of the recoil and suffering shoulders. I took it to the range and put 30 rounds through it without any issue to my shoulders. A week later, I brought my buddy with me to try out the rifle and we put 70 more rounds down range without incident. That is, until we decided to shoot without the rubber pad.With the last of the ammunition I had, we decided to try it out minus the pad to see the difference. My buddy went first and sent two rounds out. The first shot, he was visibly uncomfortable and began nursing his shoulder. After the second shot he said to me, "okay, I'm putting this [recoil pad] back on." He quickly fired the last 3 rounds and remarked how he just wanted to get it over with because his shoulder hurt and that "the first two shots ruined [the experience]."So after 35 rounds with the rubber pad he was totally fine and after two without it his day was ruined. Now it was my turn; I fired once, twice, and thrice without the pad. I didn't have nearly the same experience as my friend, but I also have more natural padding than he does. That being the case, I could probably have fired many more rounds without the pad and not felt the same pain that he did but I decided to put the pad back on anyway to prevent the same outcome. Even having done so, my shoulder became a little sore shortly afterwards.Based not only on my own experience but my friend's as well, I can say that this recoil pad does an excellent job of saving shoulders from the recoil of Soviet cannons and I highly recommend it.

This recoil pad was purchased for my vintage RWS "Diana" German made .177 break barrel pellet rifle. This particular pellet rifle has long been noted for its oppressive recoil. Newer models of this 34 now have a factory recoil pad already in place. It was a very snug fit and I wound up using and old wooden shoehorn with very dull edges to wedge it on and finally get it in place on the end of the stock. It's not loose at all and will never become that way. I'm very satisfied with the purchase, as it was processed in a timely manner and arrived before the estimated delivery date Great product and service

Didn't really change much recoil wise but added some length to the stock
