I was looking for a stylish, high quality desk lamp and found it with this one. It feels well-made, looks great, and has all the features I was looking for like adjustable brightness levels and adjustable positioning. When I adjust the positioning, it stays in place, unlike other lamps I have. While I noticed it was lower in watts and lumens than some other models, I find the brightness is great. In fact I don’t use the brightest level in my office. I also like the USB port on the base (who doesn’t need another USB port?). Overall, this is a great lamp and I highly recommend it.

I bought this, put it on an end table, tested it's operation, and let it sit unused for less than 3 months. I then tried to adjust it's position and the hinge at the base was TOO WEAK to support the head (see pic) when the head is not directly over the base. I lifted it off the table to see if there's a way to tighten the hinge. The silver end caps on the hinges are recessed and can't be removed. It CAN'T BE TIGHTENED! The lamp can't be used now! WTF?!Then I noticed that the plastic control box was separated from the base. I thought it might snap back on. No, the screw hole was STRIPPED OUT! It appears that the assembler over-tightened the screw. There's no way to tighten a stripped screw hole, and I can't get the screws out because their heads are under the sponge pad which is stuck to the base plate! I'll have to cut a hole in the pad. WTF?!The box says there's a 1-year warranty, but there's NO ADDRESS for SANTORI on the box or on the instruction sheet either. WTF?!So I Emailed the seller. The nest day I received this message:Your e-mail(s) to Santori ([email protected]) cannot be delivered because there was a problem with the recipient's email system. The recipient can still view the message in their message center on Amazon.com, but they will not receive it by e-mail. We apologize for the inconvenience.WTF?!Now I was stuck with this thing, so I thought I may as well try to salvage it before throwing it away. I managed to remove the end plates by bonding tiny nail heads to the silver hinge end caps using 3M 3501 Scotch-Weld and pulling the caps off, since tape didn't adhere adequately. The caps are put on with adhesive. Success! Not so fast though. The hex nuts are fully recessed down inside square holes. There's no space to get a socket or ANY kind of tool onto the nut! WTF?! I'm a product designer, and this is one of the dumbest things I've ever seen.UPDATE: I received a reply from the seller a few days later. The seller apologized and issued a refund. The product is deficient, but Santori turned out to be a stand-up seller after all. It looks like trying to save the lamp is going to be impossible. It can't be disassembled without damaging it. Such a shame.

This lamp is so cool, I love it. It was a bit pricey, but gives off so much light without blocking my computer screen I feel it was worth it. Felt a little guilty for ordering it because of the price, but very glad I did.

I purchased two lamps - one for my office and one for my workshop. The lamp works great in both applications. The options for the warm light and bright light make the lamp versatile for multiple uses whether reading or working on a project. Would recommend this product to anyone!
