Item is excellent
I looked at this item for weeks at several stores and Amazon. This item came up used at Amazon for a good price so I promptly ordered it. I use it in a machine shop and it works great for bolting projects down. I had a Black and Decker battery ratchet 30 years ago and loved it until the batteries diedBuyers need to realize it’s not an impact wrench, not likely to loosen lug nuts on car tires.I chose the Dewalt because I already had batteries from cordless drills

Great gift idea
I bought this as a gift for my boyfriend . He loves his ratchet tool. .He uses it when he works in cars Does not come with the battery but it’s durable

It does NOT come with a battery
I pushed 1 star back because I didn't know that it didn't come with a "battery " this was a Christmas present and it broke my heart that either I didn't read or it was not in description 💔 but functional like it should be speed is great for working the weight is light so easy to hold and the torque is pretty strong for this little machine it is a value for the money just know it DOES NOT come with a battery

Love this tool
bought this because I have wanted one for a while. I had to do some major engine work and didn't feel like running my compressor all day to use my pneumatic one. I just thought it would be nice to not have all the noise from using the pneumatic but as a tool this is so much better than the pneumatic it is amazing. I will say that when the battery gets low it barely turns a loose nut/bolt but pneumatics are similar when air pressure is low. This tool works great as a manual ratcheting wrench to break a tight nut/bolt and the electric makes fast work of removal once it is slightly loosened.

Worth the money
I already have the 20v 1/2 inch version, but this is perfect for working on smaller items and is much lighter using the small battery. 3/8 is the sweet spot for working on items that are not needing massive torque to wrench. Highly recommend.

Labor saver
This will save you some labor when you need to spin on/off a lot of fasteners under and around a car. The only con is that it's extremely loud when next to your head.

Lasted only 9 months of moderate to light usage.
It was good while it lasted, purchased this item in July 2024, and it quit on me last week in April 2025, I would say I gave it moderate to light use, didn't even use it daily.I'm going to contact Dewalt and find out if they will warranty it as it is within the 1year warranty period.
