I have a 50 year old original septic system. I’ve been in the house 16 years and have had my tanks pumped 3 or 4 times, 3-5 years between. I’ve used Rid-Ex and other treatments all along and when the time came to pump, there was always crust and about 2/3 full of thicker than water sludge in the first tank. The kids have been out of the house now for a few years and now it’s just me and the wife. She works from home for the past few years and goes through A LOT of toilet paper (how much does it take after a pee?!?) so I was worried last Fall when the time came to pump I’d find trouble. The previous pump out said there was a little back draining from the leach field. About 3 months before last Fall’s pump out I used Hot Rod. When you prepare it to pour in the toilet you KNOW this is something waaaay beyond Rid-Ex. So when it was time to pump, I wondered what I’d find. And was I amazed. I even thought I wasted my $400 to get it pumped. No sludge. No crust. No back drain from the field. And very little odor. Just a nice thin slurry of brown water. I’m a believer. Does It Work, your guess is as good as mine, poured it down the craper, flushed it on its way, used as a preventive, can only hope.

After living in our new home for 16 years.. I found hot rod septic treatment and it’s been amazing. I have a family of four, laundry etc. and this is hands down the best. I clean the filter every 3 months as recommended and I immediately noticed a huge difference. It was not plugged and I didn’t need to wash it for 10 minutes with the hose. Just a quick rinse and good. I had no idea a septic tank could look clear like a swimming pool. Check the pic the water is clear. It never looked like that, with box after box of the stuff they sell in stores. The filter is clean with just a rinse now. I am a fan for life will never use anything else. This is the stuff every home owner should use for worry free septic maintenance ! AAAA++++

This hands down the best septic tank treatment you can buy. We have drain field issues and are waiting for the county to install sewer lines to our neighborhood. This product has drastically extended the time between septic pumping and when they do have to pump it it is all liquid with no solids. Highly recommend this product.
