The unit was larger than i expected and the flow is higher than expected. I mean this thing moves a lot of water. If you have a tiny tank or pond this is not the unit for you. I brought my Koi indoors for winter, this unit is perfect for my needs. Once in the tank in my garage they expelled tons of poo, this filter picked got it all. I cleaned it after two day of use and the water quality has stayed clean and clear. the bubbler function works only if you arent limiting the pump flow., otherwise it turns into a squirt gun.

I don't normally write reviews but felt I should for this one. I own a swimming turtle and this filter works amazing. The water stays clear and clean for weeks. Some reviews said it was loud but I can't hear it at all. Easy to assemble and easy to clean. It does have to be funny submerged to work properly.

Bought this for a small outdoor pond. Cleared the water up quickly. Very powerful. The airflow is a little too strong on the lowest setting for what I needed.

This filter is great and would be especially good for salt water or river/stream setups. If you have goldfish, no substrate, or heavy substrate, this would be a good fit. I can see this being great for ponds and turtle tanks, too. It's too strong and not adjustable enough for your typical decorative tanks with slower moving fish— unless you're good at scaping in enough releif/still areas. I'll be using this as a pump and will intermittently use it for when my tank needs a deep clean and filtration. High flow and quick to clear the water column. I like the filter media it came with, but I also added some of my own and there's plenty of maneuvering that can be done if you're picky about your filters like I am. Came well packaged and everything was included. The instructions were cute and very intuitive. It's much quieter than any over the side filters and will be bigger and more heavy duty than most. Well worth the price. I saw that some were struggling with the noise level and keeping this thing working and here are my recommendations for a successful set up: *Prime the filter before turning it on. Make sure it is fully submerged and has had time to fill with water. Turn it around until no air bubbles are coming out. *Add additional mixed filter media on top of the sponges, especially if it's already been cycled with good bacteria. I added clay rounds but kept them above the water inlet so the water goes through the sponges first. *If you want the quietest option, remove the air hose. It's not necessary, but nice to have, and you can always add it as needed. *Turn the filter off before making adjustments or moving it. If you bring it out of the water while it's running you can easily ruin it. *Initially, if your tank is gross, it will need to be rinsed more often until it stabilizes the water quality. That means it's doing it's job. Get a larger filter if it still can't keep up after 30 days.

I read some reviews about the longevity of the product and some reviews were great. I made the choice and the sad mistake of purchasing the item. It worked great as stated in the description (for all of 3 months), as the motor has seized and now I have a brick in my tank...

It seems to work well, has good power, way too much for a beta. Very loud you can hear in the video

Works great, I love it!

I got it for my 75 my fish love it they swim in the current an stays closed to pump some times when I put food in it's like the food come alive an my fish love chasing food around the tank. My giraffe cats just laid at the he bottom all the time now the swim like they in a river . Even come up to glass when I walk up they got use to me now an ate happy camper s . I have a air filter at the other end so they have bubbles an water flow going from one end an all the back so they love it. I do to tank quite an clear an easy to clean filter.

Was so easy to use, just plug and play, extremely quite, easy to pull apart and reaseble to clean, highly effective and the fish love to play in the out flow which in return puts ox back into the water without having mass sounds of running water into the tank, no worries of water discharge on the floor, extremely easy to cleans. The whole family is impressed, and loving the peace and quiet. Thank you from the bottoms of our hearts for making such an awesome product and making it available for other to indulge in. Je suis très contente de cet achat, il est très silencieux, et ne prend pas trop de place dans l’aquarium. Le seul Hic, c’est que le tuyau de prise d’air qui est fourni avec l’appareil est vraiment trop rigide et donc les plis qui sont causés par la mise en boite du produit restent fermés et ces plis empêchent le tuyau de rester ouvert. Il faut donc s’assurer d’avoir un tuyau plus malléable et plus mou pour permettre une installation et fonctionnement correct. Autrement, le produit (outre le tuyau) est très satisfaisant.

Was pleased with this filter , it has been 4 months since i purchased this item and now motor is noisy and has to shake it to get it going , not pleased now at all

I bought the smallest size to build my minnow tank with. The suction cups could be way better but they’ll manage. The provided aerator hose is also relatively short. It moves water well though, will update with any issues. It’s a simple design.
