Fin Fun Mermaid Monofin, Swim Fin for Kids and Adults

Works great. It's comfortable to wear and swim. I use it for my mermaid tail and works wonderfully. The quality is really good and it doesn't slip off. It's a bit tight to put on but that helps it keep secured.

I love how comfortable this monofin is. It's got as much room as you want for wiggling your feet and stretching out your toes, but it still holds onto your feet and works great to make you swim faster. My boyfriend (pictured) prefers a firmer fin - he thinks this one is too floppy - and he prefers the linden monofin with its individual foot holders and straps, but I love how easy and comfortable this one is to wear and use. It's just a flat fin and your feet are held in by a neoprene sock top that holds to your ankles, but once your feet are inside, they are just comfortably held to the fin by a fitted sheet of neoprene that gives you as much room as you want for any size and shape of feet. Swimming in it was easier than I expected - I zoomed around the pool. I haven't used it with the mermaid costume yet - it turns out that most public pools forbid mermaiding - but the fin itself is great and much more comfortable to me than the ones that have individual foot buckling stations. If you're more used to other more-restrictive swimming flippers, you might prefer the linden monofin, but if you hate feeling constricted, this fin is a real joy.

I wasn't sure I got the correct product and had to measure it. It looked small but it measured the correct width for the adult size. This fin went to a pool party and got stress-tested by me and three young boys. I think my feet were the smallest. The boy with size 9s had some difficulty getting his heels in. He gave up but was still able to use it even though it wasn't correctly worn. The ankle openings were very tight. It doesn't make any difference what size your feet are. If you can get your feet into those ankle openings there is nothing else there to hold it on. Too tight and it can't be removed in a hurry. Keep that in mind. He had it so the openings were around his feet with his heels out and swam with it. He had the same fight the rest of us did getting it back off. It's a bit of a learning curve, but if you can tread water you can do it. It's easier to remove if you can stand in the shallow end. The cover of the fin is neoprene and just a bit thicker than swimsuit material. It held up well for the party and fit me fine after all my poolmates had a turn with it. The tips of the fin rubbed the pool walls and bottom and showed holes, not just fuzz, when we got out. Even I couldn't avoid rubbing it against the pool walls and bottom. They didn't affect its use, but could eventually open enough to no longer hold the plastic fin inside. If you sew, you could repair that with swimsuit material patches. Over all, it was a fun pool toy and I'm glad I bought it. I left it with the boys since they swim more often than I do. We all had fun swimming like fish.

I love using this film. There are just a couple of issues. For reference, I am a 60 year old and wear a woman's size 10. #1. Get in the water before trying to put it on! Once you're in the pool it's easy to put on but if you try it on dry land, it'll never happen. The foot opening looks impossibly small, but in the pool, I promise it works! #2. By my second use, the fin points were torn and the heel had snags. ( the newer fin that is out addresses the toe wearing out but not the heel.). I have solved this problem by first stitching the rips closed, then sewing material to the heel and the toes. Mermaid material of course! Those issues aside, I love this monofin. It is so much fun to swim with!

We love these fins! It really makes my two daughters and my niece look like real mermaids. I was surprised by how easy it was for them to swim with it on. They are ages 9, 11, and 12, and not pro swimmers or anything. They were immediately able to start swimming! Get this monofin and the FIn Fun tails that go with it. We bought them separately but the tail without the fin is incomplete, so definitely get both. It might seem pricey but they are really high quality. Excellent stitching. The monofin itself has super nice slots for the feet that do not chafe at all. I have seen other monofins that attach with straps and that just seem like blisters waiting to happen. Not these! The only downside to this monofin is that the holes the the feet are really tight, which helps them to stay put. It also makes them difficult to get on. Once on, it’s super comfy and doesn’t feel tight. It’s just actually getting it on that’s a little challenging. Also, be sure to be right at the edge of the water when putting this on. My daughters watched several YouTube videos and tutorials before getting this and Fin Fun has a really nice safety brochure included with the fin/tail. If you are a parent, I recommend watching the safety videos with your child. They are well done. If your child likes mermaids and wants to swim like one, buy this! Seriously.

Fantastic. Easy to use. Monofin is well made. It arrived very fast. It fit perfectly. And swimming with it is ultra fun. Definitely worth the purchase price. 🤩

A very fun toy that works well in the water. Unfortunately the fin tips rip easily. After 3 uses the fabric is significantly torn. The tips should be reinforced with some kind of rubber coating. This item might last longer if it’s used in a pool only, rather than river/lake.

Looks to be good quality. Fit my daughter and my niece very well. I was worried it may not fit in the mermaid tail I bought, but it actually fit perfectly. I have so far only used it for pictures, so I cannot say how it is for swimming.

This is one of the best brands of fins for children for ease of putting on and off without help! It could be made better by reinforcing the material and stitching around the feet.
