This has to be the absolute best portfolio I have ever owned! The genuine leather has a nice texture to it and is perfectly oiled. There was a very small amount of oil transfer to the insert that it was shipped with, but I haven't experienced any transfer to my documents since then. It has a nice weight to it without being overly heavy or bulky and offers the perfect amount of storage for a padfolio. I love that it has two pen holders in the spine instead of having one on the outside. All of the stitching seems to be of very high quality. For the money, this is a great value for a high quality padfolio that has a unique appearance and great craftsmanship!

I bought this for my Dad to carry to clients as a real estate broker. It is very professional and well made. It looks great, and has a great weight to it. The zippers are strong and definity is great quality! The size is perfect for when he is on the road or in the office.

I ordered the brown leather portfolio to use as a case for my Kindle Scribe, with pockets for business cards and full letter size paper, so I can have a single item to carry around in business settings to take notes and carry content for networking. It's working quite well for that purpose. The leather is thick, high quality, with a rustic natural leather look and feel. That's what I was going for. There are some scuff marks, so it looks like every other real natural leather item I own. I already had a Fintie Slim Case for Kindle Scribe - [Built-in Pen Holder] Lightweight PU Leather Folio Cover, which was too small to carry around papers and my Kindle Scribe together. So I repurposed it within this leather portfolio. I cut of the front cover of the Fintie Slim Case, and mounted the back with pen holder to the inside of this leather portfolio. I used 3M VHB tape to mount the case. Then I found the small magnet in the Fintie front cover, and ripped it out. I used the tape to mount the magnet to the right place for the auto-off feature to work for my new setup.

I don't know if these are ex-retail and there was a sticker on it, or if something was on the leather. The top right corner where it opens has a darker square area. There' no residue, and it doesn't effect function, but its exactly where I'd imaging a price sticker would be and it's the only thing I can see when I look at it. Reaching out to see if exchange is possible. Otherwise it's quite nice. Seems well put together with good stitching. Slightly oversized, padded, and a nice 'distressed' type pattern. Perfect for an A4 notepad (vertical), couple of pens and cards, and a few misc pockets for additional papers. EDIT: After speaking with the seller and providing photos, a replacement folder was sent out, no additional costs, and matter was resolved, painlessly, within 2-3 days. CS is on top of things, upping rating from 4 to 5.

Perfect layout. Nice, simple, slim, low profile . Appreciate the two pen holders. Color is a bit lighter than expected - more tan than brown. The “leather” is best described as nubuck or a tight knap suede. Suspect this finish/texture may not age/patina like a smooth/traditional or full grain leather. Wear and burnishing may not occur here as charm/character, but rather dirt scuffs and oily hand smudges. This is getting constant all-day use in variable environments/settings. Ironically, raindrops have not left any prints behind. Forced to use it as a makeshift umbrella in a heavy downpour. It did not repel/bead away the rain. It soaked right in. Thoroughly amazed how it dried immediately as if nothing ever happened. This is classier than a $15 “pleather” folder, but definitely not a $150 + full grain leather “board room” appropriate alternative. I assure you that no buffaloes were harmed in the making of this portfolio. It’s real leather, but “buffalo” should be used as an adjective only.

High quality. I love all things leather. This portfolio is well designed with high quality leather built to last. Just the right number of pockets inside to place important business cards or sheets of paper. Holds a full pad of paper. Looks much better than showing up to a meeting with just a naked note pad, but not too pretentious. Classy and understated. It's perfect!

Bought as a graduation gift and she loved it! Good quality and packaged nicely for gift giving.

I've been looking to replace a cracking vinyl portfolio and decided to take a gamble here. I compared several options, this one came out on top because they do not brand it on the outside (a very discrete company identification stamped on the inside with leather tools) and it has business card holders plus two pockets on the left as shown in the illustrations. The portfolio is a nice brown, the stitching is good and even, no loose threads or evidence of replacement stitching. Corners and seams are even with no bunching or bulges. Nicely holds two pens plus standard (US) 8.5"x11" pad of paper via top-load slot. Nice leathery smell and feel (almost suede) with perceptible pore marks when you look closely. It does have varying appearance across parts of the grain - and mine has a few obvious spots that appear as if oil were dripped on the skin. If you are looking for absolute perfection you would need to pay more and look for a more varnished vanish - this definitely shows "character". My only concern (not yet a flaw) is that it came with a piece of cardboard inside with oil stains and a remark that it is there to absorb excess oils. Nothing feels oily, and I put my paper pad in last night and see no oil absorption overnight. I will watch this a few days and come back to update review if I decide that it is staining the business cards or writing pad and give the seller an opportunity to give me and all of us some feedback.

This was a gift for my wife who does public speaking and needed something professional looking to keep her notes in. The leather and construction seems to be of a very high quality. It looks and feels rich. I would highly recommend this product.
