I have bought two sets of these shakers. One set I use when seasoning meat for the smoker, puts out plenty of salt and pepper and amount is easily controlled. Very nice when seasoning lots of meat. The other set I use in the kitchen when cooking. The lids securely tighten but are not hard to get on and off. I am happy with both sets and would buy again.

These shakers are just the right size for the stove & and cooking. They are made of solid metal and the plastic cap is a great idea for humid areas.As others have mentioned the sharp lip. When you unscrew the cap the lip of the "cup" is sharp and you should take care when washing.

Works great with my french fry seasoning blend, which consists of many spices and seasonings that are made up of very small particles. Also great for my simple beef seasoning blend which just consists of salt, pepper, and garlic powder, but the pepper needs to be ground down pretty fine. What this is not great for is my pork seasoning - primarily used for smoked pork ribs. Pork needs to be seasoned quite a bit, and the holes in the top of these shakers are a little too small, so it takes a long time to get a decent coat of seasoning on a few slabs of ribs.

These shakers are great. They look good and shake out the perfext amount of both salt and pepper. Salt shaker did corrode and I had to buy another one, but I expected that as I live in a high humidity area.

Great fit and finish, mine came with an extra lid, I would like for potential buyers to know it dumps and TON of salt if you’re not careful. Great for cooking, not so great for the table.

What's Shakin'? Whatever you want...I needed a set of shakers for outdoor cooking and realized that I needed for these for inside cooking as well. Dry rubs, seasoning, powdered chocolate/sugar - it doesn't matter. These shakers can handle it all. Only used them a hand full of times so far, but they seem sturdy, and the handle is easy to hold and shake with. They clean up easy and look more expensive than they actually are. I I find that I need more, I won't hesitate to buy these again.

I never thought I'd be leaving a review for something like salt and pepper shakers...LOL! These are terrific! First, they look good--my parents owned a restaurant and these were the style in the kitchen. They hold a large volume of salt or pepper (or whatever spice you choose), and they're filled by unscrewing the tops! Other styles have you tip over the shaker needing to block the holes at the same time while you try to get that little plastic stopper open to refill the shaker..what a pain!!Most of all...THE HOLES ARE BIG SO YOU DON'T GET AN ARM WORKOUT TO GET THE SALT/PEPPER OUT! My wife bought these little cutesy shakers...good grief!! The holes are so small I have to shake the things 30 times to get a small amount out!...Not these shakers:)Very pleased with this item!

it's so cute and a nice size

I have been using an old spice container to spread semolina on my pizza paddle for putting fresh dough into the pizza oven. The spread was uneven and wasteful and often the excessive files of semolina in the oven would catch fire! These shakers are perfect for the job of spreading just a light and even coating of semolina on the paddle!

These are awesome! They hold quite a bit and work amazing. They do pour faster than my last set of dredges so take a little getting used to. Love that they have the clear covers.
