We gifted this to a friend’s son for his 3rd birthday & it kept him very well entertained. For toddlers i would strongly recommended keeping an eye on them because it does include sharp tools, but def a great activity for your kids who love dinos. Great price as well because some of the ones found in store are very pricey. His sister who is 1 1/2 was also able to help out so I would say the age suggestion is just that (but I would still not leave young kids alone to play with this)

Got for my son for Christmas and he loved it and his older siblings enjoyed helping. Huge egg, super thick but that makes it gives it the extra bit of fun for the kids, getting to actually destroy it!

I bought these for my nephews and they were obsessed with extracting the dinosaur from the egg. It was a messy process though and did take a lot of work, for a 3 and 6 year old. There is a mat that comes with it so you can make it into a board game. The pieces are tiny, so not suitable for young children or around pets.

Kind of hard to dig into. Can be messy but perfect to keep kids busy for a while. Good value for your money

Bought as a Christmas gift for a 5year old dinosaur lover. The egg is huge and feels pretty heavy and hard. He should have several hours, maybe days, of fun excavating the dinos inside.

These are fun and my 5 year old son loved them but the tools are not strong enough to free the dinosaur inside, at least not anytime this century. It worked out ok because my son loved throwing them on the ground to break them open. The educational cards appear to have been translated quite poorly from another language and don’t even make sense so that’s disappointing if you genuinely want an educational experience to go with the “excavation”.
