Crash [4K UHD]

Classic Cronenberg
This one stands up alongside Naked Lunch and Cosmopolis as confirmation of David's ability to get at the gist of previously considered unfilmable material. Excellent transfer.

Now I remember. . .
OMG this movie is just so bad. Not edgy and bad, just nonsense and bad.Glad to own a copy; I was working my way back through Cronenberg’s films when I realized this one can’t be streamed and has some controversy surrounding it.

Great flick. Elias Koteas can really get it.

A Fascinating Cinematic Take On Subculture
As others have stated this film isn't for everyone, people love it or hate it. A coworker told me about this film after he'd seen it in the theater. He HATED IT, couldn't believe what he'd seen. Being a Cronenberg fan as well, I thought I need to see it for myself. I found it incredibly fascinating, a very interesting look into activities that people use to arouse, titillate, intrigue, even captivate themselves often to deadly consequences. *I also remember saying to that coworker, "If this film had been in FRENCH, you'd call it a classic". I bought the standard DVD years ago and when I saw the 4K release I was very interested in upgrading and I have no complaints there. I'm very pleased. However, the Audio Commentary by Adrian Martin was also fascinating, as a tremendously self indulgent nearly 100 min discussion, that unfortunately is very dull. It seems as if he was more interested in teaching, rather than really exploring the background of this particular film. He continually begins chatting about a scene on screen and then gets lost talking about a related article he knows, or the original book, or a different actor from another movie. Next thing you know, it's two scenes later and he's not done, so a lot gets missed or subsequently dismissed becasue it takes too long for him to bring his point home.As a big fan of commentaries, I'd repurchase this 4K version again in a heartbeat if ARROW announced it were re-recorded by the host of the podcast "You Must Remember This", Karina Longworth. That would be exactly what film fans that enjoy commentaries look for: Insightful, thought provoking, intriguing information about the subject matter - The film you're watching.

Good film. Quality compromised
Several times a horizontal distortion travelled up the screen. This isn’t really good enough, but it’s the only way you’re gonna see this 🤷♂️. Movie is weird but good

I couldn't see it
When I inserted the movie to my Blu-ray equipment, a window appeared telling me that the disc couldn't be read, it didn't work.

Movie isn't for everyone I guess!
I like adding to my Arrow collection. Thought on trying out this movie after watching a trailer and thought this does seem to be worth a watch. However, I don't think this movie would be for everyone. The quality for 4K didn't strike out to me very well. Audio was very low and at times difficult to follow what was happening in dialogue. Some parts of the movie seemed interesting focusing on their enjoyment of crashes but I did become quite dis-engaged a lot and required me a 2nd watch to try and understand the movie...still don't fully get it!

Not a stunning picture and audio, but very good.
This movie is not for everyone, but if you like this film, you will be happy with the sound and the picture. It's not an excellent, cutting edge quality, even much more older movies have a better sound and picture. But it's pretty solid and if you have a good TV, a great 4K Blu-Ray player paired together with an excellent cables andof course the great sound system, you won't be disappointed. It's worth to upgrade,if you have a standard Blu-Ray,even the DVD.
