Warm, caring, sweet - loved this story
These two guys (Mikey and Scott) didn't get off to a great start, but things turned around for them pretty quickly. And then things were awesome. Mikey can't get over how nice a guy Scott is. He is genuinely so nice. Scott has a hard time comprehending how Mikey has had his first m/m experience and he's not freaking out. These two are so great together. They are super funny and have very open, honest communication (most of the time). They are thoughtful and considerate of each other and BONUS, they are smoking hot! Scott has issues with his father that have sort of messed with his head. Mikey has issues with both of his parents and those have messed with his head big time! Besides the romance, this is part of the story that drives the plot.I only became aware of Devon McCormack recently when I read a collaborative effort of his (Metropolis, with Riley Hart). He's a good writer! I read this book as a KU subscriber but I have now purchased it because it will go in my 'comfort' category on my kindle. I'll read it again when I need something encouraging, and sweet and cozy. 4 1/2 stars

I liked it but I could have liked it more
First, they were a great couple but I will be honest… Mikey was my favorite. That sweet nugget, I love him. He and Scott were good together but some of the jumps in time felt a little clumsy to me. And I would have loved a bit more communication. Also all the parents in this book sucked. I also wasn’t even a fan of Scott’s dad. Even when they made up he sucked. I’m blanking on the exact verbiage but telling your kid they are average and less than their siblings is terrible. I don’t care of the context. Anyway, I liked this book overall, but it felt rushed and like half the complications to move the plot were barely complications.

Another Knockout!
Don't let the title fool you. There is significantly more substance to this book than the title would imply. This is a sweet ride. What starts as a friends-with-benefits arrangement soon escalates to something much more. It takes a while for Mikey and Scott to figure out why they are drawn to each other, but once they do, it's amazing. I found this type of "figuring things out" authentic. Every one goes through something similar at the beginning of a relationship, be it platonic or romantic. Questions pop up (Am I seeing more than what is there? Do they feel the same way I do?), and it's not until those questions are answered do you feel that you are on solid ground. Mikey and Scott go through something similar as they each try to figure out the boundaries of their relationship. Throw obstacles such as family in, like Mikey's brother, who is also Scott's roommate, and you have the perfect setting for real-life drama.Oh, and the epilogue. Perfect!

There is a naked man in my kitchen!
Scott leads a relatively quiet life. He works from home but keeps a strict schedule and mode of dress so that he feels like he is working in an office. Condescending attitude from his family about his chosen profession is a constant drain on his self confidence. Then crashing into his life comes Mikey! His roommate’s brother literally crashes at their place and has no problem with his self confidence or self image. He walks around naked and has incredibly loud sex in the next room…with a girl… without batting an eye. His biggest secret is that he likes guys too! Through in some family angst, some angry makes me hot, and some good old construction and you have Scott and Mikey in loooooooooooooove! Can’t wait for Devon to give us the next book in this set!

The sex is hot, steamy, and fun. However the storyline seemed a little thin to me. Lots of dysfunctional family dynamics that were described as very traumatic when in reality they might be seen by many as somewhat ordinary family issues. Yet these issues propelled the storyline and the problems in connecting for the major characters. I got a little bored from time to time, but it's an OK read. Other reviewers liked it a lot more than I did. One more thing, I don't think the cover fits the book very well, but then that happens more often than not these days. "Don't judge a book by its cover," true that.

Really Enjoyed this Story... 4.5 Star's
I really enjoyed this book I loved the characters Scott and Mikey from their very awkward first meeting to the love that grew between them. This book was full of secrets and drama that had you rooting for Scott and Mikey to overcome their demons and face their past's and in the next breath wanting to give Scott a kick in the butt for pushing Mikey away. I enjoyed Mikey's sister and brother I feel a story in there for Jordan waiting to be told. But I was glad when the truth finally came out about what their parents put Mikey through when he discovered his dad's secrets it made them understand him more and also brought them closer together and showed Mikey that he wasn't alone. A very good read I would have loved to find out if his parents ever swallowed their pride and apologized for all the hurt and pain that they caused or did they keep on living in denial. A very good read by Devon McCormack.

I loved Mikey & Scott
I loved Mikey & Scott!! It was just everything. From their intial meeting, sparks flew. Sure Scott was shooting daggers at Mikey but they both had an undeniable attraction to each other. While their chemistry is what brings them together in friends with benefits kind of trope, you can soon see that beneath it all they become each other's best friend and, indeed, boyfriend. Mikey shares with Scott parts of his past he has never told anyone, while Scott also has his own self doubts that plague him. They give each other the strength needed to confront these issues, rather than continuing to run from them. This book had it all, hot sex, chemistry, fun times and a story that had you hooked from start to finish.

Fun, cute and sexy
The book is really good. At the same time that Mikey and Scott are depraved they're very cute and passionate about each other. The book has a good happy ending and i was thrilled that it didnt end with that amount of sadness and melancholy that gay stories usually have.
