Ordering Bosphorus cymbals from Amazon is weight roulette. The one I just received has "Medium" on the bottom and is 2620 grams, which is about 7.6 grams per square inch. It feels a bit on the light side of medium.It has a well defined ping with some shimmer. Slapping (shanking) the shoulder or crashing the edge is musical, with a very long decay, and works best as a loud crash. Striking it softly the attack gets lost in the mounting reverberations.
