I used to buy organic coconut charcoal in a bag, but that is fraught with danger if you have people or pets moving around it. Even with a clip on it the bag tends to leak. This was a brilliant idea. This way I can keep it in my bedroom and know that my bed and I are safe and all I need is a measuring spoon and a container to put my water in if I’m going to drink it. There is absolutely no flavor no grits unless you make it really thick, and I accidentally handed it to my husband instead of his coffee and he never noticed anything about the taste because it is tasteless but he did wonder why his coffee was black I mean really black actually gray. My husband takes the capsules. My dogs get it on a regular basis to improve their breath and their health, but only two capsules of the 600 mg variety. Also made by the same company.

I use this to create different affects for drinks. I would say it doesn’t really have any taste but could feel a little sandy when drinking it.

Seller should warn about the buildup of pressure from activated carbons. Upon slightly opening the sealed container the activated charcoal spewed out in explosive force allover my face, clothing and kitchen! Due to the fact it went in my mouth and up my nose etc i was able to tell immediately it was a fine powder with little to no taste. I did loose some product due to the explosion upon opening.... I hope this does not happen again, as i really wanted to use this in my smoothies!!! Update: Second attempt I added too much to my smoothie and it had a sulfur like smell while blending, but taste is definitely high quality. You just have to get the amount right in your recipe.

I’ve also purchased the capsules from the same company, but like the powder since you get a lot more powder for your money. The taste is very neutral- just add 1-2 spoonfuls to water. I use a straw to get it down quickly because the sandy texture can be a little trying. I drink TONS 2-3x body weight in oz of water when taking so I avoid dehydration. I haven’t been retested, but I can say I am starting to feel better!
