We got a GE front load washer in March. As it filled it really hammered when the valves opened and Closed. I have water hammer arrestors in the main lines in the basement, but they didn't prevent the hammering. These did the trick. They are very easy to install between the shutoffs and the hoses leading to the washer.

I installed these on the washer lines, took about 4 min. I can barely hear the washer running. They work well, im happy

My GE front-loader had a serious water hammer problem. During normal operation, it calls for water several times. Each one was accompanied by a “bang” from the pipes in my house. Very annoying. I have metal braided hoses which may have also been part of the problem. (I read that rubber hoses absorb some of the water shock but I do not consider them reliable enough for a second story laundry room.) The braided hoses I have used to hang straight out and down from the washer, which can create a stress point at the bend. So this snubber, which is the 90° style, installed on the rear on the washer, relieves two problems - water hammer has disappeared and hose stress has been removed at the hose connection to the rear of the washer.

These items work well and cut back the hammering very effectively. Easy to install, also. My only concern, as is the case with most low priced imported products, these are a little flimsy. I hope they don’t unpredictably corrode with certain water types, creating an unexpected leak at the worst moment. Keep the ones you’re replacing in a safe place, just in case!

This little device did the job as expected!!! We have a B-hyve water timer for our backyard and every time it shuts down, we can hear a very loud banging noise with vibration. After installing the "water hammer arrestor", it's no longer a problem. Works perfectly!!!

After purchasing a new washer and dryer, we noticed water hammer issues. The laundry room in our home is on the second level, and I would see and hear water hammer all the way in the basement at the water meter/ main line in. We have an older home with a mix of copper and pex serving this appliance. These devices are extremely heavy duty, install easily and completely eliminated all water hammer related noise. Very happy with this purchase !

I bought the pair, and one did not functioned as predicted. One of the gasket was loose, and did not make a tight seal, so when I open the water valve, water started to poor out. Rather than return it. I installed a second gasket to make a tight fit. This worked, so far so good. but it seems like poor workmanship.

The water hammer effect from my new Maytag washer was extremely annoying, and shook loose rust in my plumbing after every weekly wash. I was afraid the plumbing pipes would be damaged by the constant shock. The arrestors did the trick, no more loud noise from the pipes and my water runs clear after doing the wash.

Exactly is advertised and totally eliminated the knock in my washing machine. I'd gladly buy these again.

It immediately solved the washing machine hammer problem (I installed it at the back of the washing machine). It's perfect!

Having just bought a new LG Washer, a brand notorious for Water Hammer, I looked long and hard at the many products available, and am glad I chose a pair of these. If possible, they are best installed on the washing machine itself, by removing the water hoses on the washing machine, replacing with these, then attaching the hoses to these Arrestors. Of course, turn off the hot and cold water first, and have a bucket underneath to catch the water as you first remove the hoses. I bought Milwaukee 6" slip joint pliers just for this job, and they fit perfectly at full jaw opening. The pliers will be a welcome addition for any outdoor garden hose-related issues.

Very easy installation process (attached directly to the hot and cold inlets on my LG washer. This took care of the water hammer caused by the rapid opening of the solenoid valves that engage when the washer fills at the beginning of the cycle. The machine runs silently after the installation.Here is my only gripe - the packaging label is very ambiguous. In two places it says lead free and in a third it indicates a low lead content. Since I am not using this on a potable water line I was not too concerned about the ambiguity. It would be really great if the vendor would weigh in on this and indicate if this product is truly lead free - for peace of mind in potable water applications.
